My apologies if my speech is peculiar, I've been reading a gothic novel. Anyways, pleasantries sorted, a friend of mine raised a fine question last evening that I want to pose to both of you. How would you two react were you to be interact with your younger selves?

Vincent: Why does this orange look like it's bleeding?

Alastor: It's a blood orange, they're Italian, a little sweet for my taste though.

Vincent: Huh, not bad. I'd probably help my younger self get started with their career at a younger age. And invest. I thought I'd have it made by this age, but I didn't learn to 'make my own luck' until fairly late in the game.

Alastor: Hmmm, if it's a me as a child, possibly try to get him to start taking an interest in voodoo early? He may be curious enough to hear me out. But honestly? I didn't react well to adults, or others trying to tell me what to do in general, except my ma.

Vincent: I bet you were a manipulative charmer even as a kid.

Alastor: Not always. It took awhile for me learn that you catch more flies with honey, and the value of a good smile. I used to be more... impulsive. Didn't pick my battle wisely.

Vincent: If I proved who I was, and offered my younger self a place to stay and a garenteed job? He'd probaly thank me for it while flipping off our family as he ran away. I was ambitious even as a kid. And I'd be a better role model than any of our actual family.

Alastor: Younger as in young adult? That's a different story. I may have an actually decent apprentice on my hands, providing one of us didnt turn on the other.

Vincent: Hey!

Alastor, laughing: Sweetheart, it's far too easy to rile you up.

((Alastor is also not good with kids in general. Vincent on the other hand would happily adopt his younger self if he had the chance))
