so imagine this guy. he's just skyrocketed to fame due to being great at his career of choice. and as a result he's lost like all of his privacy. and then he falls for the one person his fans would absolutely hate if they knew they were together. so they try to keep things very low key. when they're together out in public, there's always a pretext for it involving their shared career. and maybe they do want to soft launch at some point. maybe he really wants to be seen in public with this guy. but they can't yet. but then one day stuff leaks and suddenly everyone online has opinions, and maybe a lot of those are positive, but there is also a lot of anger/hate towards one of the guys that makes his life very difficult

I've been an F1 fan for less than a season

and I haven't watched the gay hockey show that started out as an original novel that got turned into stucky fanfic and back again

and I'm not a big MCU person

and I don't write fanfic of real people, and I haven't written fanfic in years

but somehow I'm about five seconds away from writing an F1-inspired MCU AU inspired by Heated Rivalry
