Chapter 3 - freedom

PURPOSE 2: To grow together with other artists

Art is my language. 

And I speak trough it way better than how I do trough Italian or English. 

I know that it works the same way for billions of people out there.

In my opinion, what’s fascinating of art is that it doesn’t need to convey emotions, stories and ideas into logic thoughts. It’s irrational, like human minds. It is the expression of the universal, it goes over individuality. I know art is, first of all, a vehicle of democracy and so, a vehicle of freedom. And all that people want is to be free.

Since being free wouldn’t make us happy if we could’t share our freedom with someone else, art is important also as a bound between people. And that’s what the “Generation Z Call” is looking for. Bounds, links. Something that goes past individual differences, we are looking for the identity of a generation, the story of young souls that comprehend and talk using the same tools. We are looking for people that are aware of being the future of the world. 

Why?

I honestly have no clue.

I guess that it all begins with the need of finding something to fight for, a reason to create, knowing that maybe no one is ever gonna see our works besides our families and friends. It begins with the need to build communication where there’s a lot of talking but no saying.

It begins as an adventure, as a game, the real question is, where is it gonna end?

Ramadan is coming soon. Dear God, I missed it. So much.

I haven't written in a while, mostly because I was too busy with work, but I feel like this time coming is the right way to come back to this.

We have some good days, and some bad days. And truly, without the bad days, we wouldn't be able to see the good days. I want us to take the time to see the light whenever it is possible.

Ramadan is not only fasting. Ramadan is about second chances, about forgiveness, about sharing and giving. Ramadan is a way to feel closer to God, to our faith and to our soul. We give up everything that this world has given us for God, and honestly I don't believe there's a better way to show my love to Him.

Do you ever feel like sometimes everything feels like too much? Too much food, too many movies, songs, TV shows, books, clothes, entertainment? But for some people only, for the lucky ones? Wouldn't it be amazing if everyone could experience the things we experience too? Wouldn't it be amazing if everyone could experience safety, love and food and everything that we have? God, I wish we could.

I wish we wouldn't sometimes forget about the world, I wish we wouldn't focus too much on nothing. I wish we would all live together. Oh Lord, what an utopia. Do we live in a dystopia then?

I pray that this month will help me value what I have, I pray it'll help me to be better, a better Muslim and therefore a better person. I pray you and anyone going through a tough past, may it be poverty, mental illness, violence, failure, fear, hate, danger, I pray that you find some rest in your life. I pray that you find love and kindness.

And I pray God for forgiveness and guidance. I pray for love and rest.

Muslims or not, I hope you all get peace in some way, success if it is good for you, love and safety.

Young Voices.

Hi. Hello.

A few months back, I started this project, Young Voices. It was not some dumb trial to get recognition on what I do. It wasn't some shitty way to make my existence a little bit more meaningful. It could have been. But it wasn't. At least I don't think it was.

I've done many research before doing this. In college, in my work place, in my free time. Youth Studies was and still is the main focus in my life. Because I am young, because I lived an identity crisis, because I've been a victim of islamophobia, because I will never be enough of something, because I am a little of everything.

But this project, really, it wasn't about me. It was about you. About them. About how hate spreads in social media. About how prejudice and stereotypes are humans yet harmful. About how society focuses on differences instead of similarities. About how representation matters. About how we all have different stories. And this, difference, it's beautiful.

So I decided to collect testimonies, to come to you guys and ask you "would you like to talk about something that is dear to you?" "Would you like to testify on some issue that has affected you?" "Would you like to have your voice heard?"

So yes, this project, it's about collecting voices of young people. Because, really, representation matters. We will never be enough of something because we are a little of everything.

So for now, I would like to thank the many people that have been part of this project. And I do hope that many others will join as well.

Ok so I need you guys. As much people as possible, actually.

There is a project I’m working on and I’m trying to collect as many testimonies from young people living worldwide. So here it is. I would like to hear your voice. It can be about anything really, religion, education, identity, why you don’t feel like you fit in this society or why you feel like you do, the list goes on. I want to hear your story. I want young voices to be heard. Because I mean, you’re the heart of this society. So we need to listen to you, to us, to move on and grow.

The testimony can be anonymous or not, I just want to know where you come from (and your age as well but this is not mandatory).

The project is still in construction but as soon as possible, I’ll share it with you. I hope you’re trusting me enough to share with me. But your opinions matter. So if they can be heard and read and shared, it’d be great. Reblog if you want to. Share as much as possible. I hope you will take this as seriously as I do. The future of democracy in Southern Africa depends heavily on the engagement of its youth. Moving ahead with the campaign of VAW-2025, Vigilance Department,PPA organized two exciting events on 31st October 2025 - a vibrant Drawing Competition and a lively Fancy Dress Contest for local school students.

These young talents showcased remarkable creativity, poured their imagination into colors and characters, expressing this year’s theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility" in an exceptional manner.

Appreciations to all the students for their spirited participation in making this outreach initiative meaningful and memorable.

A Day of Powerful Voices and Purpose! An English Elocution Competition among local school students, hosted by the Vigilance Team, PPA at the Officers’ Club on 30th October 2025, was a resounding success! As part of a weeklong campaign, young students took the stage to share compelling thoughts on this year’s theme: "Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility."

From heartfelt speeches on integrity to bold ideas on transparency and accountability, the event showcased the passion and promise of a vigilant generation.

Why is it that our voices have been silenced as we call out for new options. I for one want our candidates to be something more than old white men.

This article if you don’t want to take the time to read it basically says, that after the age of around 60 a majority of people start losing the frontal lobe and the hippocampus. The parts of the brain in charge of learning, memory, emotional control, personalities, and other human behaviors.

Why is it that the new generation, which is generally more even in-terms of minorities to the amount of white people; not being listen too?

Well it could be because a majority of people have a biased view against people younger than them. But we are the future, talking down to us and ignoring our voices is how we grow to resent you instead of supporting you.

We as the next generation, the most even generation in terms of equality- isn’t being heard. America is all about the freedom of speech. But people still look on people younger than them because of something like experience.

I’m not going to say experience isn’t helpful. I’m just saying that you don’t get to Invalidate OUR experiences just because you have MORE.

Yet you hide things like the Epstein List, and MK ultra, so with all your experience, why is it you don’t want us to know about what happened in our country.
