Your Knife, My Heart Review
I know I gave this a 5 out 5 on Goodreads. SUE ME. I read this during a reading funk and I gotta say, IT GOT ME HOOKED.
I saw someone mention that this book was giving Hunger Games vibes, and I can see that the whole trials thing they have going and fighting to the death. But if you want to compare it to the similar thing the Powerless series had, I would say this book is nothing compared to Hunger Games.
Cameron and Emery have an enemies to lovers thing going on, but I wouldn’t say it’s enemies to lovers like Jude and Cardan. It’s a bit similar to what Paedyn and Kai had, but they’re a bit more intense. Cameron and Emery's romance was like they’re attracted to each other, but they have to be wary of each other so the other won’t kill them.
I forgot to mention that this IS a dark romance novel. Yes, there’s spice, but on a scale it’s 3 out of 5. I will say the spice scenes help with development of Cameron and Emery relationship in my opinion.
