PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Like liquor this new track by Chloe Lilac is incredibly addictive and has definitely gotten into my system. Stolen Liquor has a raw yet polished quality to it with the slight crackling of the audio mixed with the slick production as well as Chloe’s youthful yet emotive musical styling and her smooth vocal. I love the lyrics of this track the most though, they weave a wonderful story from Chloe’s perspective with absolute ease whilst maintaining that wonder of youth as well as that mistrust we develop as we get older.

We sink into the velvety luxuriance of Stolen Liquor, utterly enchanted by Chloe Lilac’s wispy drawl and the soft drapes of her bedroom pop song. The Brooklyn native is described as an artist who is paving a path of her own, mixing lo-fi stylings with poignantly raw lyrical content. Chloe Lilac draws upon youthful experiences and inspiration for her emotive tracks. She says of her new single: “I wrote this song about a night in my junior year of high school when I snuck out with a boy and he stole wine from his parents. We drank it by the lake in the park in between both of our houses after thanksgiving dinner. It was a really special night to me and I wanted to capture it in the song." Having been charmed by her new single, we delved deeper into the string of singles she’s been self-releasing this past year. You can listen to another gorgeous lo-fi cut named Your Worst below.
