Old Mythos New Trouble | | Cynthia & Lucas
starter for @yugurex
In one of her latest escapades, Cynthia had found herself wandering the large and expansive library on the hunt for a book said to contain old legends and maybe even some secrets to mysteries lost to time. It was something the blonde couldn’t refuse, and as her heels clicked along the linoleum, she found her steps much more relaxed than normal. This was a treat for her, to explore these lost mythos.
Making a sharp turn to her left and up a staircase, she set her sights on a bookshelf that hadn’t been touched in years. At least, that’s what it looked like. Everywhere she looked, dust seemed to line the shelves of stories and documentation long since abandoned by normal traffic. With her black coat trailing behind her, Cynthia weaved in an out of the bookcases, hunting for her lost book. She mused to herself, that she of all people would be the one to venture into the most unexplored and frequently forgotten parts of any library. And in all actuality, it was where most people would find her if they really wanted to get a hold of her.
Pausing, she turned her head to examine a couple titles and authors, noticing the wear on the spines and letters beginning to fade to time. She had to resist the urge to pick up the worn leather bound book, knowing she could get lost in those pages and distracting herself from the goal. Meandering down farther, to almost the end of the bookcase, her hand reached for the spine trimmed in gold. Her focus was too involved with the goal at hand, and she didn’t even see a very familiar face until their hands had the same destination. Surprise rested on her face, but it was soon replaced with a warm smile. “Lucas! I didn’t know you also liked to wander the abandoned reaches of the library, for old mythos no doubt. How have you been?”
