The Storm Court

Morrissey (he/him)

An elf who came to the Storm Court with the Queen, when she married into the court in an attempt to broker peace between their two courts. The peace is, at best, strained. Morrissey's loyalty is fully to the Queen and not the King, though the loyalty does extend to her son, Yuki, as well. He is her most trusted advisor and her favored assassin, when needed.

Isabella (she/her)

Isa's loyalty lies with the King, and with the prince. She's lived her whole life in The Storm Court and few people can remember a time when she wasn't serving the royal family. Fewer still remember that she served as an advisor and guard for the previous generation.

Despite their different alliances, the two of them have become decent friends. They train together frequently and consult on another on anything that impacts the court at large.

Yuki doesn't know who can be trusted in his parent's court as has chosen to trust none of them. Morrissey finds this slightly irritating and frequently inconvenient. Isa thinks it's probably the smartest choice Yuki will ever make.

Cisco - a soft orange

Yuki - very light blue -- like a few shades lighter than sky blue

Lorenzo - deep green - it's a very specific shade; it's the color of yumi's favorite sweater back in college/the sweater she was wearing when they met

Roxie - purple! it might be pink but she feels like that would be a vain answer lol. but she loves lavender

5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?

Since going off to mortal college, Yuki keeps a truly enviable supply of pens in his pocket. He’s found that someone always needs one and it’s a quick way to make friends with people. Keys to the apartment. A swiss army knife he needs gloves to use but thanks to the elf genes, he can use it. Sometimes spare change.

21. If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?

…….this is such a weird thing to say but like. Bad things don’t happen to Yuki. Not because they don’t happen!!! but because Jinx and Fiacre are here to make sure nothing that bad ever fazes their friend and they take that responsibility very seriously. But if something did happen, I think it would depend on what it was? For the most part, Yuki has quite a bit of self doubt and would be more prone to blaming himself but!!! He’s still fae so if there’s reason to blame a mortal…. it will probably happen, whether he means for it to or not.

24. How quick is your character to trust someone else?

Wow what a messy question. I think Yuki wants to trust people? I really do. But he. Does not. He likes them. Sometimes he’s very fond of him. But outside of Fiacre and Jinx, there isn’t really anyone he trusts? It comes from the way he was raised and from what he is. Mortals can lie and it’s one of those things his parents never let him forget.

For Idris, I’ll say losing his powers and I’ll put it at an 8. It’s not a fear he has constantly or regularly. It’s not an anxiety that keeps him up at night. But he has been around someone once who was like... a magical neutralizer? And his powers stopped working while in range of them and it was deeply unsettling. His abilities are part of who he is and it’s such an intrinsic piece of him that it felt like he was missing an entire sense. And he was, in a way. He hated it and the idea of experiencing that full time? Terrible. No thank you. Even in his day to day life, he thinks of his powers as a dimmer switch? He can shut them off, but he prefers to keep them on the lowest setting, rather than going for a full off.

For Yuki, fear of being a bad leader and I’ll put that at a 10. There are few things that scare him more than the thought that he’ll let everyone down, that he won’t do right by the fae he’s responsible for, that he won’t be able to keep his people safe and happy. He’s a hybrid and with that comes a more complicated relationship with various creatures. Too elvish for the winter sprites. Too sprite for the elves. He’s meant to bring a union between the two. His parents were meant to bring a union between the two. But disunion is their nature and it’s... a lot of pressure on him.

Yuki can lie, because of the elf in his genetics, but ho boy does the fae in his genetics make it difficult. Like he can lie, but it’s obvious that he’s doing so.
