Winter Solstice Tarot Spread
Happy solstice, everyone! Both for the winter and summer, for those of you in the southern hemisphere. I hope y'all have a great time celebrating today & I wanted to thank everyone that has followed me recently. It means a lot!
Here's the winter solstice spread for 2022. It's based off of a spread I created many moons ago, revamped and updated.
As always, feel free to share your cards pulled with me! I love seeing 'em. If you don't want a message from your ancestors, you can replace it with a deity, daemon, your guides, etc. I like to do a rune with each card placement, as well as utilize some of my oracle decks for the hell of it.
That being said, what's everyone doing for the solstice? I'll be doing a ritual later, but this morning I'm brewing up some tea for a potion I've done for several years. If I have everything I need, I may have the time to get crafty with what I'm thinking could be a winter solstice witches ladder to take out annually...but I'm not too sure how it will turn out yet or what the plan is. We shall see.
Happy Witchcore Samantha Wednesday!
For those of you who are new here, this orginally stemmed from my obsession with Sam Winchester and Sastiel in the Supernatural fandom, and in an attempt to provide Sam a better life, I created an AU with a transgender MtF witchcore Samantha, a genderfluid cottagecore beekeeper/gardener Castiel, and non-binary toddler Jack Kline.
New audiences call for a slight change in direction, and while Samantha, Cas, Jack, and I are still available to answer questions about the family, Witchcore Samantha Wednesdays will now be focusing on making moodboards that fit the cottagecore and witchcore vibe. Suggestions and prompts are always welcome, just shoot me an ask or a DM!
Today's moodboard is all about Yule! Yule is the pagan celebration of the winter solstice, the shortest and darkest night of the year. We wait in eager anticipation for the light to return from the dark, and to celebrate the rebirth of the earth and hope for the coming year. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, however you celebrate! I am going out of town to visit family, so there won't be a moodboard next week, but we will pick back up the week after that!
I am extremely serious about needing suggestions in order to continue providing quality content, whether it be anonymous one word prompts, or elaborate collaborative pieces sent through DMs
*As with the rest of my moodboards, none of these pictures are my own, and I claim no credit for any art or design used, only for the concept created*

I unfortunately can’t do much for yule this year but I can make a simmer pot. Here’s how I make mine.
- moon water (you can use any water)
- cinnamon
- rosemary
- orange (dried or fresh)
- clove
and I just let that simmer on the stove on low and it makes the entire apartment smell nice. Happy winter solstice !!!
My altar on this chilly Yule/Winter Solstice 2022
A Blessed Yule to all of you from your local Toku Witch!
