dating yuga aoyama
pairing: yuga aoyama x gn!reader
tags: wholesome fluff, established relationship, clingy!aoyama, physical affection, extravagant petnames, bits of jealousy
aoyama hasn't dated anyone before you, but he read up on how to properly flirt and how to be an overall good boyfriend. it can get a little bit embarrassing at times, but it's sweet that he tries so hard!
aoyama gives you the most dramatic and unique nicknames out there, like âshining starâ, âsparklesâ or something simple as âprince/ssâ
even before the two of you started dating he loved to give you cute nicknames, but ever since you became a couple, he went all out!
aoyama would like to be a protective boyfriend, but heâs a little insecure about his quirk. still, he'd get reckless for you, wanting to show you can rely on him!
he also wants you to know you can rely on him with anything else! when you need help studying, getting injured or sick, he's by your side, helping you wherever he can!
aoyama is quite direct when addressing his feelings for you, though he rather does it in an over dramatic way, instead of seriously telling you how he feels
it was probably love at first sight for him and aoyama never made a big secret out of his feelings for you!
aoyama is a very clingy boyfriend, always by your side, yet getting flustered whenever you reciprocate his flirting or touching!
he's great at giving affection, but whenever he's the one receiving it, he'll be a blushing mess!
aoyama gets jealous easily, being secretly very insecure about himself, despite how he might portray himself. he gets really quiet, when he gets jealous and after the situation is over, he turns clingy!
while i don't hate that 1a as a collective forgave aoyama with very little push back but i honestly wish we got to see more conflicted opinions from the adults
on top of that i wish there was a scene or two of someone (preferrably rocklock because he's the goat) pushing against the idea of using a 16-17 year old to lure out japan's more dangerous villain... because did the heroes have any sort of back up plan for if all for one just decided to kill aoyama right then and there ?
I think Horikoshi tried to create some tension and conflict when it came to the reveal of Yuuga being the traitor from both the students and hero side but due to the quick pacing and just how busy the plot was we didn't get much focus on the situation at all and it seemed to be conveniently dropped after the war arc.
We get class 1A being mad and then going on to forgive Yuuga and give him a helping hand all in the span of 2 chapters.
This doesn't sit well with me because I believe that while the majority of 1A agrees to help Yuuga in the end there should be those who should still hold a grudge as it would contribute greatly to their arcs. Characters such as Mina toru and bakugo are the ones I believe that should still hold a grudge and be reluctant in this scenario as it could truly benefit them and add more nuance to 1A as a class and relationship tension. You can also have this contrasted by Characters who easily accept Yuuga after everything such as Tenya and izuku since his situation touches closely to their experience, while the others can be in the middle and sway whatever direction may suit their character best.
That to say, the adults in the manga seem to be way more reluctant and stricter on Yuuga than his classmates. I think this can be seen best with Naomasa and present mic.
Oh, and look at that it's my two favourite adults that actually bring common sense (sorry yuuga) into the room by genuinely questioning why and if they should trust him after such a big reveal! Sadly their voices get overpowered by the narrative and we don't spend much time on this conflict for it to genuinely fester as the narrative clearly takes class 1A and aizawa's side when it comes to the manner of the situation even though this is a very major situation and we don't know how much information yuuga has leaked. In my opinion, it is completely plausible that Yuuga leaked enough information that some deaths might have occurred due to that and it would be such a delicious and angst arc had mina went on and blamed him for Midnight's death!
To answer your final question, no the heroes didn't have any plans if AFO chose to kill Yuuga right then and there and it's something that they bring up casually if they should even go ahead with a plan so risky because they don't know how well it would work if they use Yuuga as bait to get to AFO since they don't know just how much AFO knows/is capable of and they really are at a loss with no back up plans which is why they end up using Yuuga as bait in the first place to start the 2nd war arc.
I do wish the manga acknowledged how morally messed up this situation was. There was no reason to full-on muzzle Yuuga the way they did and using a child as bait? Dang, that's low. This is how you know Hero society isn't supposed to be morally righteous or good, but alas hori dropped the ball on that one
Telepathy!!!
Hihi! Thank you for this!
I'm gonna go with Vex and Yuuga!

Prompt
If Ravio had a rupee for every time he was forced to hop dimensions to aid the alternate version of himself on an adventure to stop the dark version of someone else who was given power and delusions of grandeur by Ganondorf in an effort to obtain the Triforce and destroy multiple versions of Hyrule, he would have two rupees. Which isnât a lot, but itâs weird that it happened twice.

When Ojiro woke that morning in Heights Alliance, he did not expect to find a girl asleep next to him. The shock sent him falling out of bed.
Looking up at her from the cold, hard floor, he had to rub his eyes to double-check he wasn't dreaming, then thanked his lucky stars that she was in a deep, deep sleep for all the ruckus he'd made.
He was at a loss for what to do, though. If someone found out there was a girl in his room... his classmates, he could just about handle but if the teachersâif Aizawaâfound out. It wasnât worth imagining.
But before that, first and foremost, he wanted to know how she'd got here. Just who was she?
At a glance, she looked foreign. Perhaps European or American â though it was hard to be sure when Quirks often altered appearances in unusual ways.
At least she didnât seem to be a threat.
Though perhaps it was silly of him to judge that solely on the fact she was sleeping peacefully in his bed. He assumed anyone out to harm him or his classmates would have found it harder to fall asleep next to him.

UA traitor
And that traitor is Aoyama Yuga.
Aoyama is kind, a little cowardly, but still a brave boy who wants to be like all his peers. He wants to shine! And after Kamino, after settling into a dormitory, after passing the exam for a temporary Hero's license, Aoyama revealed himself to us as a really interesting character, a young man who was really lonely, but who wanted to be with his classmates and be âhis ownâ in this company. He wanted to have friends and enjoy the school hero life.
His first friend is Midoriya Izuku. (I don't want to repeat myself, so please read these notes: Deep Water, Traitor, Dream (the last part of the article). And we see how for a long time Yuuga and Izuku have been building friendly relations with each other: they are neighbors, when Izuku's quirk was activated in chapter 193, Yuuga ran to check on him; or when during a Cultural Festival Yuuga was worried about Izuku being late, and then helped him prepare for a performance; or at common evenings they sit next to each other and communicate. These two are really close and worried about each other.
However, something changed with the jailbreak of Tartarus. Aoyama Yuuga became nervous and fearful. When the guys decided what they would do and how to look for-to return Midoriya back, Aoyama suggested leaving everything to Adults, professionals. Do you see how his bubble with the text is shaking? Why is he nervous? Why does he not want to participate in the ârescue of Midoriya Izukuâ - his dear friend, whom he himself wanted to be friends with, whom he worried and cared about?
But in any case, he took part in this rescue operation, and ran along with Hagakure and Kirishima, and when Kirishima said âI have something to sayâ, he just said âouiâ. But he. He didn't say anything to Izuku, he was standing far away from him, not daring to approach. All the guys from the class said something to Izuku, only Aoyama was silent (even Hagakure asked how the guys were feeling after landing.)
And then we see several panels where he keeps to the side and carefully avoids being near Izuku. And it looks very interesting, especially at the moment when Hagakure talks about the âcool defense of the UA barrierâ. He has his back turned to us and to Izuku all the time, we don't see his face at this moment.
Why isn't Aoyama happy? Why didn't he talk to Izuku? Why didn't he want Izuku to return to UA?
Because he - as a traitor - will now need to let the villains inside the UA Barrier or in some other way contribute to the fact that Izuku was handed over to Afo.
It is also worth noting that at the closed exhibition held this spring, there was a very interesting illustration that symbolizes a sense of guilt. Why should Aoyama blame himself? Take a closer look at this illustration.
He is sitting on boxes near the opening doors, from where the monster is crawling, and bottles are scattered around, there are some gas(?) cylinders, some things. Can this tell us that this is an allusion to some kind of storage room, where there is a secret entrance, and since now the UA resembles a fortress ready for a siege, then this room is one of its weak points? After all, things and provisions in case of a siege must somehow arrive (I'm thinking about underground communications) and be stored somewhere. And Aoyama will be the one who will be the gap in the UA Barrier.
He avoids his dear friend, he keeps away from everyone, and he feels guilty. Why? Because he is the Traitor on behalf of All For One.
And this was also hinted to us on the spine of the cover for volume 10: usually a smiling and beaming boy, looking for recognition, looks nervously to the side. For the volume is called âAll For Oneâ.
And if Aoyama Yuuga is really a traitor, then we are waiting for a heartbreaking drama between him and Izuku, whom Yuuga will betray first, and then sacrifice himself for him. After all, he just wanted to be like everyone else and shine.
