"Who are you texting?" You ask Jiwoo, your friend, who is currently immersed in the depths of the messages app. "Oh, no one. Just a friend." Jiwoo murmurs before putting her phone back in the pocket inside her jeans. "Hey, how about we go to the park? We could take great photos!" Your friend recommends and you give her a slight nod of approval before the two of you get going.
You expected anything from your little trip with Jiwoo to the park. Anything but seeing Woonhak there with another one of Jaehyun's friends. "Oh my God, Jiwoo. I should actually be awarded for worst luck in history." You mumble as you stare at the boys conversing from meters away. "Why, what is it?" She asks, whilst dragging me through the grass. "That right there are literally Woonhak and one of his friends! I swear-" You whisper shout but were cut off by her next words: "Oh no, girl. This is top tier luck. This is literally your chance to bag him, c'mon, let's go!" The horror that passed through your body because of those words is unexplainable.
Soon after, you're sitting in the flower invaded garden, wind rustling the leaves. You have sat on one of the benches— Woonhak is on your right, Jiwoo on your left and the other guy, whose name you learned is Sungho, is sitting next to Woonhak. You're having some small talk, while secretly stealing glances at Woonhak but then, your best friend decides to say the sentence: "I feel like having coffee". And then Sungho decided to agree. Which leads to what? The two of them leaving and now you and Woonhak being alone.
Woonhak clears his throat before starting "Soo.." He trails off, not exactly sure what to say, but he ends up with a proper question— "How are today's lectures?" You answer his question truthfully, fading away into a rant about the "Art & Cultural Studies" lecture you attended earlier. You barely even realise for how long you've been talking but something hits you. Woonhak is listening. He's not complaining or telling you the amount of talk you're doing is too much, he's simply listening and reacting. "Sorry, I tend to talk a lot when I trail off to a certain topic. What about you though?" You end up saying and he shakes his head. "No, don't worry. I don't mind it, plus, it's kind of cute." There's no denying his words did something to you. "Me though? I have a "Communication Theory" lecture soon." Woonhak talks about how he found out who his professor is going to be, and you're truly listening but suddenly the wind is too strong. You get goosebumps over your wrists as you had decided to wear a short sleeve due to the sunny weather earlier that has now evolved into a rather gloomy one. And Woonhak doesn't let that go unnoticed. He quickly takes off his jacket and scoots closer to you so he can put it over your shoulders. Frankly, you're close to melting over the action right on the spot but you end up saying a muttered thank you.
Woonhak and you talk for a little more before he realises he needs to leave to attend his lecture. He's about to go to the cafe where Sungho and Jiwoo went to inform Sungho (since they seemed to stay there after speaking about their want of coffee) but you stop him— "Wait, Hak- Your jacket!" You don't even realise the nickname you gave him as you're more worried about the clothing right now. But he just tells you to keep it and return it later when you're back at the dorm before leaving. God, you're doomed.
