🕷️ summary: myung jaehyun was a second-year undergrad student who lived a pretty normal life; he was pretty popular, partied with friends often, went to class, etc. until a radioactive spider bit him! from then on, his life turned upside down. he lost his social life, most of his friends, and who he was as just myung jaehyun. being spider-man consumed jaehyun's life, and he allowed it to, that was until he met y/n. she had everything that he lost while adopting his spider-man identity, popularity, a normal life, and most of all, freedom.
chapter 01: help me catch a spider, pretty please? (ss+written)
"Modus Operandi is the methods, tools, and/or behavioral patterns an offender uses to—HOLY SHIT!" Y/N was memorizing some terms for her quiz for her criminal psychology class when frantic knocks rattled her apartment door, startling her.
"COMING, COMING!! STOP POUNDING ON THE DOOR, WILL YOU?" Y/N shouted as she got out of her bed and sped towards the door.
As Y/N opened the door, she was met with the sight of a pale, young man, fidgeting with his hand, looking rather nervous.
"Can I help you?"
"Hi, so um, I'm your next-door neighbor yeah? Okay, yeah. So basically I came over here to ask if you could help me catch a spider, pretty please?" Jaehyun blurted out so quickly, that Y/N was unable to catch anything he said but "help me catch a spider, pretty please."
"I'm sorry, what did you just say?! Who even are you??"
"Oh—um, let me formally introduce myself. Hi, my name is Myung Jaehyun, I live in the apartment to your right, and I'm currently a second-year economics and business management major at Hybe University. And there's currently a big ass spider on my couch right now, and I need it gone like ASAP so like, can you help me catch or kill it pleaseee?"
"Yeah, so you asked the wrong person. I'm just as afraid of spiders as you are!"
"Um you're basically my only neighbor on this floor though."
"Tough luck, I guess camp out somewhere until it dies, I dunno."
"Thank you? Um have a nice day!"
Just as Jaehyun finished speaking, Y/N immediately shut the door on him.
"Weird ass neighbor."
