not that anyone particularly cares but hi, i'm arden, and i have some stuff to explain

first off, my previous blog was @devixt which i can no longer access for personal reasons

second, i am also the mod for both @leon-stupid-idiot-kennedy and @grace-ashcroft-fbi, both of which are also inaccessible at the moment, but i'll revamp them soon

i was also @devs-selfship-stuff, which means i'll revamp that blog too

sorry for the inconvenience, but explanation was needed (to some degree) and i promise i'll get back to my usual content soon! sorry for the sudden changes :)

just watched obsession and i have major thoughts around this movie

one thing that sticks out to me in particular is that bear decided to end his own life instead of nikki’s even after she asked him to. he was selfish to the end. he killed himself first, leaving the entity posessing nikki to grieve that she could never please him, and leaving nikki with the guilt of what she did because she was the one who was forced to kill her friends, to do things she never would have done. he kills himself and leaves nikki with nothing but grief. he doesn’t ever face that what he did is his fault, and never decides that he needs to atone.

no, he shoves it all onto her. he lets her live, lets her suffer watching him die and lets her live so she can cradle his corpse, surrounded by every mistake she was shoved into makigg by against her will. ian’s body is in that room. sarah’s is in the next room over.

and the body of the offender is the one nikki is forced to carry even though she never wanted any of this. she has to carry all the problems he had that she never wanted to begin with, just because he couldn’t accept that she didn’t want him back.

me and my brother (the one who made the gam gam bit joke) were up chatting about daredevil again and he came up with a funny idea

matt and foggy who fight crime together as “daredevil” and his sidekick “the fog”

foggy doesn’t actually fight the criminals but matt will dramatically declare “the fog is coming”, foggy will throw down a smoke bomb, and matt will fight amidst the smoke while foggy goes to hide around a corner and hype matt up

i’m sure everyone’s already seen the “what if spider-man is a mutant and the spider biting him was a coincidence” post but may i raise you: what if daredevil is a mutant and the radioactive waste was a coincidence

like maybe he was literally meant to be the in-universe equivalent of batman since he essentially has hyper-echolocation. heightened senses like those are technically possible from a genetic mutation as compared to weather powers or eyes being portals to another dimension

but also it would just make the fact that the same radioactive waste that blinded matt gave the teenage mutant ninja turtles their powers even funnier. like no it didn’t give you your powers but these random turtles did get perks out of it
