The famous Japanese aesthetician, Noh actor and playwright writes The secret essence of Art Which has been read among those Who are in pursuit of artistic truth To this date.

That being said When looking at flowers in nature, Say, this iris flower from my garden, That flower of virtue, I believe, Comes out naturally Whether it is hidden or not.

Iris of virtue, in essence, And anything if it is a real thing, Cannot be missed Like its sweet scent   Comforts one's heart tenderly.

Yet perhaps It can be said that The secret of that beauty Is being always hidden Or invisible Because that true beauty resides, As Plato of Athens mentions, Always in Ideal world.

「初心忘るべからず」の名言でも知られる「風姿花伝」の著者、能の元祖・世阿弥

さっきNHKでやってた世阿弥の番組凄く面白かった。

能の理論書「風姿花伝」の著作者としても知られる世阿弥。

一切の無駄な装飾を捨て、本質に迫ろうとする「禅」の思想を取り入れた能は、世界最古の舞台芸術として世界中の人々に愛されています。

「心十分動、自七分動」といった体の動きを抑制した舞によって幽玄の世界を表現する能は世阿弥が禅の思想からの気づきによって生まれました。

普段の生活においても、立ち振る舞いや身のこなしを控えめにしていれば、身は花となり心は匂いとなって魅力的な人間になると世阿弥は教えています。

将軍足利義満が生け花を見ながら「花は枯れるからさみしいの・・・」との言葉に「花は枯れるから人々の心を掴むのです」と返す世阿弥・・。

番組途中、世阿弥から多くを学んだというジャパネットたかたの元社長・高田明さんと宇宙飛行士野口総一さんか登場。

（高田さん相変わらず声が高い。笑）

晩年は足利義政に佐渡島に島流しにされ不遇の時代を過ごし、いつ何処で亡くなったかもわからない世阿弥。

応仁の乱以後一度は消えかけた能ですが、江戸時代に徳川家康が復活させました。

世阿弥の残した名言「初心忘るべからず」。

世阿弥の残した書「風姿花伝」は６００年の月日を経た今再び、混沌とした時代を生きる人々の心を掴んでいます。
