This will be a short post seeing how I’ve already covered most of this chapter in a separate meta post that is of gargantuan length and can be found here. Really, the only thing to say outside of what I’ve already discussed is-
Holy shit, mate, Connie is pissed.
Of course, it’s mostly grief on his end causing this, but that doesn’t make the emotion not real. Boy is it real. “That guy out there,” he says to the ever-shrinking 104th troope, “that bastard isn’t Eren.”
He’s wrong and right. You see, Eren is still alive and well. Not for lack of trying, though, Eren Kruger is clawing his way through the junior Jaeger’s frontal lobe in an effort to return to SnK relevance before this series ends. Add to that the Reiss Siblings protesting the blatant disregard of the First King’s Will and Lady Tyber who is no doubt salty of being denied a clean victory and...well.
I must touch briefly on the sunset train ride once again. No, not for that but for another great show-don’t-tell moment, in a scene chock full of them.
I believe this is the moment right here that Eren decided to run. The group is talking again about the very real possibility of war and their chances of avoiding it. Armin stays steadfast in his belief that peace is possible if Paradis can reintroduce themselves to the outside world. That statement is followed by silence and three very telling reactions.
Armin is hopeful but wary; he knows how difficult this path is, and how they will likely be afforded just one chance. Mikasa is stoic as always; she believes in her friends and will see this through to the end with them. Eren is...none of those things. The sadness is tangible from him. He wants to believe his friend is right, but in his heart, he knows the world won’t change. Not for their sake. All he can do is move forward.
We see a flash of Zeke and Levi in the Big Tree Hotel and I do mean a flash. One panel. Not a word of text uttered between them. Levi is still ready to slice on go and Zeke is still shady af. Not much to report here, but only because the chess board is being set.
Who is the father of Historia’s baby? Is the baby even real? Are Yelena and the volunteers in the bag for Zeke? Can Eren Jaeger be trusted? What is Zeke’s Final Resolution? How far away is the next World War? Will the Rumbling need to be used after all?
Will Reiner "Put Me In, Coach" Braun make it to Paradis in time to save his kids?

Having an Ackerman nearby is great for construction. How much can Levi lift I wonder?
As expected of Pieck, she unraveled Zeke’s scheme within 24 hours.
Eventually the day will come when Gabi doesn’t try to murk whoever steps too close to her.
