"Did you need to be obvious?" Venti grumbled. 

"Yes! I was flirting with him the whole time in Tianheng Pass, and then he invited me to dinner, and he didn't realize where I thought it was going until I asked if I could kiss him." Aether let out a sigh of fond exasperation. 

"Alright, maybe I overestimated him," Venti laughed.

Venti comes to Liyue to find an old friend, and feelings he'd hoped he was over begin to flare up again. Unfortunately for him, Aether got to Zhongli first.

Or perhaps it isn't so unfortunate after all.

"I'm coming too, then!" said Venti. 

"Paimon's not sure about splitting the mora further, especially since you're probably not going to be helpful." 

"Paimon makes a fair point," Zhongli chuckled.

"Oh, come on, Aether, you wouldn't take him on an adventure and not me, right?" Venti appealed, edging closer into their space and batting his eyelashes.

"Are you gonna contribute?" they asked. 

"Well, I'm not nearly as knowledgeable about geology as Zhongli, nor am I as intrepid of an explorer as you are--" 

"Is that a no?" 

"No, not at all! I'm just saying that I couldn't possibly be expected to be as amazing as my breathtaking partners!"  

Aether crossed their arms, giving him a skeptical look. 

"But I'll try to help out where I can, of course! Please let me come!"

It just dawned on me that since Klee and Qiqi are both immortal/long lived as well, it would make sense for Aether, Venti and Zhongli to adopt them in the future when their current caretakers can't look after them anymore. I have justified adding them to my familial f/os!

It really works out well because Zhongli can't have bio kids without them being visibly half adeptus and blowing his cover; I, and by extension my inserts, are uncomfortable with piv; and it's currently unknown if a half wind spirit is even a biological possibility. And if the triad adopted humans, they would most likely live to see their kids die, which would suck.

It's a triad, so it would be kinda hard to separate them for domestic stuff.

🌻 describe what home is like for you and your f/o. (do you live together? would you like to? how do you decorate? what makes it comfortable for you both?)

Complicated. After those two idiots (affectionate) finally got their feelings sorted out, Venti pretty much lives with Zhongli in Liyue, though he frequently visits Mondstadt, which is still the superior city in his opinion. He finds Liyue to be too bureaucratic at times, and he's also more popular as a bard with the Mondstadt audience. Zhongli gets dragged along when he can get time off work.

Aether also feels at home at Zhongli's place, though they can't settle in currently because they have a plot to go on and a sister to find. But when Zhongli dream-skypes them, it's where he defaults to taking them.

🧸 it’s a lazy day, perhaps a rainy one, and you or your f/o are feeling a bit melancholy. how do you cheer each other up? (are you two extravagant or gentle? are you both good with emotions, or does it take patience? is it a time for gifts or affection? )

When Zhongli is melancholy, it's often best to just sit with him and let him go on about whatever is on his mind, and he'll usually feel better after a while.

Venti usually wants cuddles. Sooner or later, he or Aether will end up singing something softly, and the other joins in.

Aether doesn't get melancholy too often. I spare them from my depression. But they can get restless and moody if the weather is too bad to do any adventuring work, or when they miss Lumine. Zhongli and/or Venti would distract them by telling old stories. If both of them are there, they get to hear two different versions of the same tale--the original/historically accurate version, and the most poetic version.
