“jeuje.” Or is it “zhoosh”? Make that “zhuzh.”
However it’s spelled, the word is used to convey what is often hard to: the act of adding an extra something special, a little oomph, to a dish, hairdo, outfit or any number of things.
But where did it come from?….

Commonly used to describe that extra something added to almost anything, the slang term has a centuries-long history.
Zhuzh must be the spelling, if only for Scrabble
We’ve been so busy putting the finishing touches on Palookaville, the latest Pine Float Press anthology (which is SPECTACULAR, by the way,) that we’ve neglected to mention the modest Kickstarter campaign that’s underway to zhoosh the thing up and get a very limited edition paperback copy of the book into the world. If you’re interested in seeing bad people doing bad things, take a glance.
Gaytionary.
Zhoosh = Style. Very Fancy.
Example:
Your outfit looks plain. Zhoosh it up with some accessories.
