Curious, Lazlo & Crystal, Day 17, Part 5

Ziggy: It's your turn so my arms are staying over here so I can't akadently knock it!

Lazlo: Hi Vid! Think fast!

Daytona: You're brave, young lady. I wouldn't sit near me if I were you.

Lazlo: C'mon, Zig - you can do it!

Ziggy: I'm swimming! I'm akerly swimming!

And here's the new loading screen, complete with Juno.

So Lazlo and Ziggy went to 94, where they played Don't Wake the Llama, Lazlo was an annoying little brother to Vidcund, and Ziggy learnt to swim!

Curious, Lazlo & Crystal, Day 16, Part 4

I was trying to get a picture of Ziggy eating his birthday cake, but he practically inhaled it!

There's a big size difference between him and Kaelum today, but Kae grows up in the very next household and they'll be starting school together on Monday, so I tried to give them a bit of a head start on the friendship.

Vidcund, your boys are fighting again - time to step in!

(I made Vid selectable briefly and got him to hang out with both boys, to stop them fighting and also to bring ther relationship up slightly).

Lazlo: Good party, Zig?

Ziggy: Best party ever!

The party went well, with Crystal taking a nap and popping; Ziggy making a start on befriending his cousin and enjoying the party food; and the only hositilities between guests being Apollo and Cosmo. I don't know whether I did something about Pascal and Mary's animosity at a previous party, or whether they just managed to stay away from each other.

Curious Prime, Day 14, Part 5

Crystal started straight in playing catch with one of Lazlo's nephews. Cosmo, she thinks.

These three were all pretty hungry by the time the wedding video finished rolling, so food was their first aim.

Uncle Vidcund's always good for toddler snuggles.

The bride and groom do eventually get to dance together.

Mary kept going up to Pascal with "poke" in her queue and I kept cancelling it for more neutral interactions. They will be friends!

Woody, maybe go run some interference? Chloe's here with her fiancee, but she seems awfully cosy with Rhett! Maybe you could talk to her about alieny things?

And off in the limo!

Yeah, Crystal's going to be a good mum (no need to label it step-mum, since Ziggy hasn't got another mother). She also rolled a baby want as soon as she stepped out of the limo. Which brings up... logistical issues.

Ziggy loves his xylophone.

The party was a success, with no fights (though Mary did try) and no cheating (though Rhett proved a serious temptation to Chloe).

Curious Prime, Day 14, Part 3

Groceries are so expensive!

They don't talk much. I think there's too much history here for them to ever be friends, but they'll play chess fairly aimicably, even if Loki does cheat incessantly!

Cats! Always on hand to help with your fun bar!

It's wedding time!

Aww, it looks like Lazlo's two brothers are walking Crystal down the aisle!

Ziggy's here! The wedding can begin!

Pascal went to give Ziggy lunch and found they were clean out of groceries, so he went out and spent most of his promotion bonus on refilling the fridge.

Crystal threw the wedding party about the time Penny got home from work, whilst Pascal and Lazlo made burgers and got ice cream ready, as well as sorting out their outfits and the children's.

Curious Prime, Day 13, Part 6

Maia might have left, but Dad's on hand to help Tycho out with his fun bar!

Pascal: Night, Kitten. Happy birthday. I love you!

Ziggy learnt to talk (and made best friends with his Daddy!)

Scout was a pain today! She wouldn't eat, and I kept getting messages about her being starving, despite having a full bowl of food. It reminds me of when Woody's first cat, Luna, got taken away for similar reasons, in my original Widespot. And then she came out here and completely destroyed a teddy bear, when no one was available to stop her.

We did eventually get her taught to eat pet food, though. Thank goodness!

Ziggy loves her, anyway!

I expect Lazlo and Crystal will get married next rotation - what's the point in waiting? They'll live here, at least to start with. If anyone wants another kid we might have to rethink the sleeping arrangements, though.

Curious Prime, Day 13, Part 5

Everyone was pretty hungry by the time Katherine had grown up, so they went inside to eat the pizza Lazlo almost burned by taking a phone call when it was in the oven.

By everyone, I mean the household, rather than the guests. They had plenty to do outside and didn't have much time for pizza.

Woody: ... I mean not all Halloween films need to have paranormal elements, but the best ones do.

Katherine: What's "paranormal"?

Katherine: So if my name's almost a cat, why isn't someone else's name almost a bird?

Lazlo: Well... I'm sure someone's is, somewhere... just not in this family.

Woody, that's not even your nephew. Be careful he doesn't puke all over you.

Sigh. I was just thinking these two had been remarkably civil during this party, and then Cosmo walked up and poked Apollo.

Katherine ran interference.

Tycho: Ow! You play this game too hard!

Maia: No - you don't play it hard enough!

Sandy: Maia! Time to go!

Maia: Coming!

Curious Prime, Day 13, Part 4

Sandy came (picked up Shelly and Maia both from Rhett's I assume, since he wasn't invited), and Mary and Apollo had a socially distanced game of rock, paper, scissors.

Happy Birthday, dear Katherine!

And then she grew up into a broken default replacement and too close to the wall to get most of the video!

There, that's better! This is exactly the family that's going to need to carefully organise hand-me-downs (I wonder if Tycho is bigger than Vidcund's twins enough for things to go to them and then back to Ziggy - shared with Kae - ?) so I put Katherine in Maia's clothes and gussied Maia up into something else (she'll need Winter clothes when I play her at Rhett's, anyway), but then Katherine looked so like Maia it was rediculous (I mean, they have different faces, but they had pretty much the same hairstyle, pale skin, alien eyes) so I changed her hair.

Curious Prime, Day 12, Part 8

Penny: Hi Sandy! How are you? How's Shelly? Where is she, anyhow?

Sandy: She's at Rhett's-

Penny: Oh, of course! Silly me! He's got Shelly today and tomorrow, and then Maia tomorrow and Thursday. This new schedule is taking a bit of getting used to! I wanted to put a massive timetable on one of the cupboards in the kitchen, but Pascal said we didn't need to and apparently I was over-complicating it by putting on all our work schedules and the kids' school events, and it was a pretty small calendar so I developed a shorthand and then Pascal said he couldn't read it...

Careful, Tycho - you're going to get your line tangled with Maia's!

Penny: Hi Loki. How are you doing? I'm so sorry about Circe-

Loki: Bullshit. You barely knew her.

Penny: Maybe not, but I can be sorry on your behalf, can't I?

Loki: Whatever.

Pascal! That's not the safest place to start a water balloon fight!

That's better!

Tycho: Gotcha!

Maia: Whee!

I don't know why there's a puddle there - the water balloon fight didn't come this way.

Tycho: Hi! I'm Tycho!

Maia: Granddad! Hi!

After naps, Penny and Pascal took Tycho and Maia down to the Fishing Hole for an evening outing.

I guess evening outings are best in the desert, anyway!
