Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said,

"He who utters a hundred times in a day these words:

La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa ala kulli sha'in Qadir

(there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him; His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent),'

he will have a reward equivalent to that for emancipating ten slaves,

a hundred good deeds will be recorded to his credit,

hundred of his sins will be blotted out from his scroll,

and he will be safeguarded against the devil on that day till the evening;

and no one will exceed him in doing more excellent good deeds except someone who has recited these words more often than him.

Meditation in Islam By Dr Mohd Amir Samdani The Meditation means to observe, to wait, in solitude with the intention of meditating on one's deeds and self, and to meditate on Allah, and the purpose of this is to make man aware of this. There should be a meditation about Allah Almighty that he always fully aware of my outward and inward appearance, and waiting for his mercy and bounties. The way to do this is to close one's eyes and remember Allah Almighty with great care, to keep one's heart focused on Allah Almighty and to keep one's tongue silent. Meditation is a journey of man towards the depths of his self by which person can find his real home (awareness of self) or a special place of thought within himself. Since meditation is a psychological state of mind and has a deep and direct connection with human consciousness, there is no restriction on meditation on belonging to any race or race and being educated or uneducated. Meditation is the same mental process for everyone. Meditation causes the meditator's (personality's) attention to be directed towards his inner self (away from the effects of the environment) and thus one's attention during one-sided thinking as the scattered and lost consciousness in different thoughts. Apart from the conscious, one becomes focused on one thing, so mentally and psychologically one becomes in a state of peace. It can also be understood that meditation attracts a person; Connected to a single thought-centred consciousness (real centre) rather than scattered consciousness (virtual centres) in different thoughts. If one separates oneself from all worldly thoughts and focuses only on worship, then one attains humility in worship, by which one can separate oneself from material ideas and increase one's religious knowledge, and at least in Islam, especially in the name of meditation.
