Quick skortchbork drawing from this afternoon. This entire year has been a huge bummer creatively for a lot of reasons, but there has also been light to balance that. After close to an entire year of not working for someone else and being extremely isolated summer 2020-summer 2021, I forgot how much time day-to-day life takes up. I had unlimited time to create and probably put out more new work than ever before. I spent the entirety of 2022 focusing on markets, started a new relationship, and went back to service industry Hell. While all of these bit into the hours of sitting around staring out a window before I ever put pen to paper I need to create, I'm very grateful to have had them brighten my days(besides restaurant work because fuck that shit). January 1st I'm moving into my first dedicated studio space. I've tried every other form of a 'creative space' to save money in the past, but my time in RI showed me having a separate area for drawing and making zines is very beneficial. I'm doing some mental laundry and looking forward to 2023. Thanks to everyone who has supported what I make.
