so tikki & plagg's holders are incapable of not flirting i guess

when it comes to alya and zoé i keep getting this idea in my head of how they could get together and it's usually related to heroics

femslash february #8: zolya (i didn't use the prompts for this one)

kwami swap. when plagg and tikki chose new holders in kwamis' choice, they swapped their choices, on the logic that scarabella was already known. they wanted both to be fresh faces. that was how catlya and zoébug (not their real names) entered the scene.

alya, in possession of a new ring, decides to take off the alliance to put it on. meanwhile, zoé gets the earrings by actually visiting marinette after calling her, where tikki notices her. and through a chaotic set of mixups, zoé manages to get a hold of sabine's alliance instead of her own. thus, gabriel learns that the new holders are sabine cheng and ???, and he figures that can't be right at all.

so the two new holders manage to stay in action for a while. and catlya and zoébug (not their real names) end up flirting on every single interview they have.

zoé and alya don't even seem to realise what they're doing in costume. people in class ship the two new heroes and they're just like, huh? no, they're just doing banter. same as ladybug and cat noir did, right?

but when a doctored image of them is published by a large fashion magazine that also calls them "couple of the year", and the image shows them kissing passionately... well, it turns out neither of them can look away from it. or stop thinking about it. or dreaming about it. or wanting it. the next time they go out patrolling together, they have a very serious conversation on a rooftop, where they discuss their futures and their past.

after the next akuma is defeated and the cameras turn to the duo to ask what they thought about the battle, well, they didn't answer with words. let's just say the news got a real picture to publicise instead of the doctored one...

Zoé be like “you know we don’t have any concrete facts about sheep lesbianism?” and Alya’s like “oh worm?” and Zoé’s like “yeah girl sheeps flirt by standing perfectly still so two lesbian sheep will just stand still at each other and nothing happens” and then Alya’s like “huh” and Zoé’s like “huh” and then they go back to staring at their lunches and not looking each other in the eye
