To start off, I’m not explicitly asking for donations. At the bottom of the post, there will be a donate link, but that’s not what this post is really going to be about.
I’m in a little bit of a pickle. I had to move away from where I had a stable job because I had no place to live. And I kind of need to live somewhere, so I moved 300 miles away to live with my parents. Problem is that I don’t have a job here and I moved here right as the holiday season was in swing, so no one needed anymore holiday help. I couldn’t get anyone to hire me. Now it’s post-holiday season and places in this little area especially aren’t hiring because they’re just sticking with the holiday workers they wanted to keep on their roster.
So I have no income right now. Well, no steady income. My “second job” is my Etsy shop and my commissions. I crochet. I turn strings into things. Fun things, clothing things, you name it. If there’s a pattern, I can do it. I’ve been crocheting since I was 9, so for 13 years now. I’m good at it, if I do say so myself.

…is basically a fancy word for turning strings into dolls and plushies instead of clothing. What I like to do is make pokemon amigurumi. I started out making one for Kyogre because I love that big whale/ray/ocean monster thing. My rule is that if there is a crochet pattern for it, I can definitely make it. This is a favorite option for people who really like underappreciated pokemon or pokemon that just don’t have officially licensed dolls or if you just want a handmade pokemon doll instead of a licensed one. In these pictures I have Kyogre, Snivy, Pikachu, and Umbreon.
They range in price depending on how complex the pattern is. For example, the Pikachu would be around $45 while the Snivy and Kyogre would be around $60. Considering my situation, I’m definitely willing to work with you on price.
All you need to do is shoot me an email (I don’t trust tumblr messaging or chat) asking if I can do a certain pokemon. I’ll let you know it’s a possibility and about what price. The discussion can lead from there.
Just one picture this time. It’s a little lapghan that you stick your feet into a little pocket and the rest of the blanket wraps around you. There’s a little mermaid fin for some fun.
These are more expensive, with $130 for the adult size and $75 for the child size. This is because they take a lot more material and the yarn is more expensive (it’s super soft, trust me). They also tend to take quite a bit of time. But if you’re not the one who’s cold…
Custom pet sweaters! I can make them holiday themed, solid colors, pride flags (bi, pan, gay, ace, aro, and trans), whatever colors you want. I can only make them XS, S, or M. I’m still figuring out how to do ones for big dogs…
4. Dice Bags / Coin Pouches
The two styles I do are pokeball (or premier/great/ultra/master ball) and dragon egg (with or without alternate color outline). The price doesn’t depend on the style so much as the size. The smallest (like the premier ball I made on the top picture) is good for 1-3 seven-die sets or is a good size for a coin pouch and it would be about $10. The medium size which would be for maybe 7-10 die sets would be $18. The large, good for roughly 1 pound of dice would be $25 and the XXL (like that pokeball pattern at the top) would be about $40 since it can hold 2.5-3 lbs of dice. Good for a DM or a serious collector. The people in my old Dungeons and Dragons / Pathfinder groups loved them.
These are my pokeball plushes. I can do some of the specialist balls like safari, heal, and luxary balls, but you’ll just have to ask me about which kind I can do because there are soooo many right now that it would take forever for me to try to crochet them all just to see if I can do them. I can usually tell if I can just by looking at the ball though, so just send me an email and I can find out.
The normal plushes are just filled with fluff, but I also make tactile stim pokeballs for autistic people or people with Asperger’s Syndrome. These have fluff in the top and beans in the bottom and the outside is ribbed for tactile stimming.
So yeah, those are the major things I can do. If you’d rather something else (scarves, regular/baby blankets, gloves, etc.), please let me know because I can do a lot more than just these.
