The latest Thor’s hammer designs from Taitaya Forge.
Silver Inlaid Iron Mjolnir Pendant on a hand woven silver chain. The pattern has been inspired by the inlay on a Viking sword found in Denmark.
This design is a mixture of old and new. The method of decoration and making is thousands of years old, but the design is something that originally started as a Sikh pendant, where the crescent moon represented the god Shiva. The moon worked beautifully on its own and combined with my own heritage, here is a design that spans continents and cultures.... Just like the moon itself. The end result is reminiscent of ancient Finnish and Slavic moon pendants. No doubt I will work on this design more... both in iron and silver. But this one is the first of its kind and as such it is a bit special.
Newest addition to my digital download shop on etsy (MarleenaBarranDesign). I may have to make a Thor’s hammer with this Aegishjalmur. I also want to do more research into the Aegishjalmur, as I have a feeling that the one we know of is just one of many different ones. This one is for protection, but perhaps the one for glory in battle was one consisted of the Tiwaz rune instead of the Algiz. And maybe the one we need for this time is one made out of the Laguz rune.
Our latest batch of hand forged silver. Each piece has been individually made by hammer and anvil, not cast. Completely new this time are a crescent moon pendant, Shaman Bells in silver, Knife pendant and a fibula style brooch.
Little Knotted Viking Dragons, with our in house designed and made ear wires.

Our latest Taitaya pendant. The design comes from these arrow heads from Viking age Uppland, Sweden: http://mis.historiska.se/mis/sok/bild.asp?uid=240376&page=1&in=1.
This prototype is available in our Etsy Shop: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/265097764/large-viking-arrow-head-pendant-hand
A pendant based on the Hesselbjerg amulet ring. The amulet ring is thought to represent Thor’s various roles. In my interpretation, as a maker, this amulet represents both home and hearth.
The hammer represents shelter and enterprise as it is the tool to create all other tools from knives to nails and axes, tools essential to build shelter. The sickle combined with the fire steel represents home: warmth, food as well as clothes. This amulet comprises of the very basic things that represented survival: shelter, warmth, food, clothing and tools.
To celebrate the thunder storm that traveled right above us tonight, here are my Ukonvasaras. Ukko is the ancient Finnish god asociated with thunder and lighting. This is his hammer.
