Revelation 6:12-13.
Can one lose their salvation?
Let’s look at king Saul.
“And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day. And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.” 1Sam 10:9-10. Saul was hand picked by God Himself and was given a NEW HEART and the SPIRIT OF GOD, yet we also see that it can be taken away by our actions; for not fully trusting in Him. “But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.” 1Sam 16:14.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” John 10:27-28. To follow after Christ means that we are doing everything according to what He says do by His Spirit; these are the ones who will receive eternal life. Our love for Him may not always be promising, but His love for us is everlasting. So long as WE don’t grieve the Spirit of God by willfully sinning but maintaining our union with Him, then no one can pluck us out of His hand. Otherwise; the Spirit can be taken away, without His Spirit we can’t stand before God blameless, we lose our salvation. Eph 1:13-14.
“Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, And would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, And your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; When distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; They shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, And did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: They despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, And be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, And the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, And shall be quiet from fear of evil.” Prov 1:24-33
We should be constantly examining our lives to see if we have any cherished sin. Christ assured those who overcome “I will not blot out his name out of the book of life.” Rev 3:5. Those who have given themselves to God, their name is already written in the book of life, but can their name be retained in the book is the real question? According to Rev 22:19 there is a possibility that names can be blotted out of the book. In 1Peter 4:17-19 it says “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.” 1 Peter 4:17-19. So called “Christians” or those who profess they have faith are placed at judgement seat as we speak for it says “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God.” The examination of our characters are in constant view, or in other words a probation period. The same thing that God gave before He destroyed the Earth the first time by the flood, Gen 6:3. He gave them 120yrs of a probation period which involved warnings to get their lives right, and as the result only eight people entered the ark, Gen 7:13. The Spirit is a free gift given to those who have faith. If we love God, then we obey what He says do. To do the will of God is delightful, if it feels like a burden, then we should question whether or not we truly love Him. Psalm 40:8, John 14:15, 1John 5:3.
Keeping the law of God should not feel like bondage when you have a relationship with Him, it is only when you don’t have a relationship with God does His law feel like legalism.
Why would God lead the Hebrews out of bondage to then place them under bondage of His law?
How is it bondage to refrain from stealing from your neighbor?
How is it bondage that God gives us a rest day every week to give us a break from our labor?
How is it bondage to be refrained from eating certain foods that causes harm to the body?
The law of the Lord sustains life, it is not bondage.
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” Rom 8:2
“But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.” Prov 8:36
Tithing wasn’t instituted during the time of Moses, it was made even around Adam’s time. “And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering” Gen 4:4. Abel gave a firstling (first born offspring) as an offering unto the Lord. The same principle existed throughout generations even with Abraham who gave tithes to Melchizedek; Gen 14:20, and Jacob who promised the Lord at Bethel “.. and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee” Gen 28:22.
“And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD.” Lev 27:30
“Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:” Prov 3:9
The system of benevolence that God designed was for our good. As sinful as we are, we are inclined to have a selfish heart, but His system continually teaches us to have humility. Tithing is still binding in our time even as before “Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye” 1Cor 16:1. God does not require of us to tithe out of necessity, it is a test for all humanity to see where our hearts stand in regards to love. Remember that charity “seeketh not her own” 1Cor 13:5. “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth cheerful giver.” 2Cor 9:7.
One thing I’ve noticed is that some people think grace was given after the cross; however, grace had always existed even from Adam and Eve’s time. Grace is found throughout the entire Bible.
The covenant of grace was first made in Eden, and after sin entered in, there was given a promise that the seed of the woman should bruise the serpent’s head. This covenant offered grace for future obedience through faith in Christ, and promised eternal life even on the condition of breaking God’s law. This was their hope of salvation. This same covenant was renewed to Abraham in the promise, “In thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.” Gen 22:18. Even though this covenant was made with Adam and renewed to Abraham, it could not be ratified until the death of Christ. It had existed by the promise of God, it had been accepted by faith; yet when ratified by Christ, it is called a “new covenant” because the blood by which it was sealed was shed after the blood of the first covenant.
When Paul spoke he didn’t speak of a new idea, he showed us the same promise that was given to Abraham, which was grace. “And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.” Gen 15:6. As Paul said “For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.” Rom 4:3, and also Gal 3:6. Paul goes into detail about how Abraham was accepted by faith. Paul never cancels out the law of God but explains how the law is in our hearts “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;” Rom 10:8. Even though he’s taking us back to the Old Testament by quoting Deut 30:11-14. In another instance he said “Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.” Rom 4:6-7, he still quotes from the Old Testament “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.” Psalm 32:1-2. Paul explains how we are not able to keep the law on our own without grace. It was already made evident by the Israelites who failed miserably Heb 8:8. Paul speaks of having obedience through grace, when we first have faith. Rom 1:5, 3:31, 6:15,16, 16:26, 2Cor 10:6.
This is not a license to eat unclean things. Whatever was abominable to God back then is the same as now, because our Lord does not change:
“My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” Psa 89:34
“For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Mal 3:6
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Heb 13:8
Acts 10:9-15 is not talking about food, it’s simply an illustration presenting to peter the true position of the Gentiles that by Christ death they would also become followers as the Jews. “.. but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean” Acts 10:28.
Humanity in itself is evil, we don’t have the ability to do righteous things without God’s guidance. “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Genesis 6:5. The LORD hates our evil ways because it separates us from Him, our life giver. When we follow after Christ we become righteous just as He is righteous, for it says “Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.” 1 John 3:7. However, to follow after Christ we must deny “self” which is the hardest battle we’ll ever fight. It hurts to be corrected, to be talked down on, to be belittled; but it is necessary to build our heavenly character; without reproof how would we grow in Christ? We wouldn’t, it would cause us to die in our sins, but with Christ He says “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Luke 9:23. Seek God while He may be found, leave your pride behind, and get ready for what life will throw at you, but don’t become discouraged keep your eyes on the prize which is Christ and He will save you.
There will be a day when time gives way,
When heaven opens in Gods own day,
No more delay nor shadow of night,
Every soul revealed in heaven’s light,
Books are open before the throne,
Nothing hidden nothing unknown,
Every word and every deed,
Every thought and every seed,
And another book is open wide,
Where the names of the faithful abide,
Written not with ink that fades,
But by grace that never decays.
Do you remember the path you chose,
The silent prayers that no one knows,
The times you walked when none could see,
The quiet battles on your knees,
Every tear that fell in pain,
Every lost, every gain.
He has kept them all in love,
Not one moment lost above,
But one question remains that day,
When earth and heaven pass away.
The book of life, is your name written there,
Oh my brother, my sister,
Is your name written there,
When the roll is called in heaven,
Will your voice answer clear,
The book of life, is your name written there?
Many will say Lord we knew your name,
We preached, we prayed, we spoke your fame,
But He will say with sorrow true,
I never truly dwelt in you,
Not by works, nor outward show,
But a heart transformed below,
A life made new by grace alone,
And faith that clings to Christ the throne.
Nothing unclean shall enter in,
No cherished love for hidden sin,
Only those washed white as snow,
Will see the gates of glory, glory.
There is a fountain flowing still,
At Calvary’s cross on that lonely hill,
Where every name may yet be sealed,
Where every wounded heart is healed.
Whosoever will they come,
The call of mercy still goes on,
Before that final trumpet sound,
Before the King in clouds is found.
The book of life, is your name written there,
Oh my brother, my sister,
Is your name written there,
When the roll is called in heaven,
Will your voice answer clear,
The book of life, is your name written there?
When the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the living change before our eyes,
In a moment, in a breath, victory triumphs over death,
Then reveal what heaven has done.
Judgment finished, victory won,
And those not found within that book,
Have lost the life they never took,
But for the saints oh what a day,
Tears forever wiped away,
No more sorrow, no more pain,
No more death, no more shame.
Enter in, the Master calls,
To the faithful great and small,
A crown of life for all so white,
Eternal joy and endless life.
So search your heart while mercy pleads,
While Grace still comes, while Jesus leads,
Do not delay, do not pretend, for time is short it soon will end.
Examine yourselves the Spirit cries,
Let truth awaken blinded eyes,
Blessed are those whose persevere,
And keep the faith till He appears.
The book of life is your name written there,
Oh my brother, my sister,
Is your name written there,
When the roll is called in heaven,
Will your voice answer clear,
The book of life, is your name written there?
Is it written, is it seen, by the blood that makes you healed. When the King appears in air, will He find your name written there?
And whoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire.
But today, your name can still be written there!
This law was to impress upon their minds that if sin never existed there would have been no shedding of blood. The blood was sacred. It symbolized Christ as the dying victim. The fat was used in the sacrificial offerings with the beasts, but was not suitable for human consumption.
The Sabbath was given as a gift to all humanity, but do we accept the gift that God has set aside for us? The sabbath is a sign to differentiate who belongs to God and who doesn’t.
“And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.” Ezekiel 20:20
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2
Everyone who refuses to give himself to God, is under the power of Satan. They may speak of freedom, but they are still under bondage with Satan’s devices. Christ made a way to free us from sin; however, our God is not forceful and gives us freedom to choose, but we have to be willing to accept and obey what He commands, because the Spirit can not force us in the way, it can only guide us along the way. Only if we fully surrender our will to trust His, shall we receive freedom from sin. “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.” Romans 6:22
“and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”
Revelation 13:14-18
Satan uses the Vatican as His disguise; however, he will soon impersonate Christ by miracles to deceive the people on behalf of the “image.” The “beast” represents the pope; remember the beast is a man v18, and his “image” is the Sunday law. All those who refuse to worship the “image” should be killed. To receive the mark in the right hand or in the forehead is not a chip or something we(humanity) can physically see, it’s representing either in THOUGHT of acceptance to the image or in ACTION of acceptance to the image do you set your fate.
The sabbath has always been a sign between God and His people to differentiate who belongs to Him. Eze 20:20. The big test will come to the world to test their loyalty on behalf of God’s Holy day. If we look behind the scenes in our world today we see it is already taking place…
-Pope Leo XIV is already misleading others to believe the sabbath is for Israel, and Sunday for Christians, don’t be fooled the sabbath was made at creation for all humanity; Gen 2:1-3.
-March 12th, Glenn Beck, published an article addressing what it called “America’s Sunday Problem,” arguing that Sunday sports and entertainment have largely replaced church attendance. The article praises blue laws as a means of restoring respect for the “Lord’s Day”
-A new labor law in Brazil, went into effect of March 2026, which will change how retailers can operate on Sunday.
-March 6, the Catholic Action Workers’ Brotherhood—a Catholic organization promoting labor reform across Europe—published an article titled “Defend Democracy, Strengthen Free Sundays.”
The list goes on…
There is so much going on behind the scenes and they keep us distracted with social media to keep us from finding out the truth. Let us not loose focus of what’s to come.
“Once saved, is NOT always saved”
Those who accept Christ, and in their confidence say “I am saved”, are in danger of trusting in themselves. “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” 1Cor 10:12. It is already made evident by Peter’s example of denying Christ, that we can still fall off if we can’t endure the slightest; let alone, the strongest temptations. “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life..” James 1:12. Conversion is a DAILY self-denying walk. We should never profess to be saved and still cease to make advancement.
We shouldn’t fight against the Spirit that guides us on its standard, for if the law had the ability to shed blood, then Christ died without a cause.
The law can only point fingers at people, it demands death when broken. So instead of us dying, Christ died in our place, to place Himself under its condemnation for us, so that the law sees His righteousness as long as we are following after His Spirit; however, if we refuse and follow after the flesh(sin) we are then placed back under its condemnation. Christ did not to take away the law for the law is “holy, and just, and good” Rom 7:12; the law is God’s standard, that stands forever. (Psa 111:7-8; 119:89)
Lambs that were brought as a sacrifice had to be presented without blemish; which signified sin. Just as equivalent to us, we must abstain from sin “present your bodies a living sacrifice”. Our bodies are the temple of God and if we weaken the powers of the mind or body by wrong habits it will be impossible for us to honor God as we should.
The Holy Spirit guides us to pray, study the word of God, and witness for Him to others so that we may strengthen our connection with Him. His Spirit can only guide us in the way it cannot force us to do right, because God gives us all a freedom of choice; we have to be willing to accept (fully surrender). The more time we spend with God the more and more connected we become with Him, and less connected we are to this world and its customs. We begin to see the world in its true state of wickedness and will not have a desire to partake in what the world has to offer. We begin to stand out from the world the closer we draw to Christ, and the world sees this change wrought in us, not for us to boast. If we are truly living for Christ our appearances will change, if others can’t see the change in you, then there’s a possibility you never knew God.
This is the transformation that Paul speaks of.
Christ divinity shown through and they all fell to the ground. One man, laid them all out flat in a matter of seconds; yet they never even thought about asking what happened and how they all ended up on the ground? It is evident that when satan takes captive of the mind, you truly will not be able to see clearly, especially the truth.
This also goes to show that Christ could have escaped from being taken captive, from being slapped around, beaten, spit on, whooped, having thorns dug through his head and hanged on the cross with nails that ripped though his hands and feet, and yet He still chose to save us through it all. This is love. ❤️
