maybe i just dont listen to enough stuff out there but i feel like there's not a lot of songs out there about being the one who doesn't want the other person like that! like i never see stuff about being the half that doesn't requite the feelings its usually from the unrequited half, and yeah there's more drama in the yearning there i guess but. yknow. it's weird being the person that can't give the other what they want too.

i like a romantic story as much as the next guy but a lot of people solve an unrequited love story by making it eventually requited when realistically that's just not what happens. sometimes you gotta move on. sometimes the person that doesn't feel the same has feelings just as complicated as the person who's in unrequited love!!!!! so it feels a way when the "answer" is for the party that doesn't feel the same to develop those feelings later
