This project has officially concluded. I have a few rolls of film I still need to finish shooting and develop, so there may still be a few more posts in the near future.

This has evolved from an isolated project in to a practice. I feel incredibly lucky to have had this time to experiment and reignite the creative parts of my mind and heart.

The take-aways:

- Opening myself up to new experiences and people is more rewarding than I could have ever imagined. When you make yourself available, positive things most definitely come your way.

- Trying new things is energizing, not scary!

- Although it may be difficult at times, say "yes!" whenever possible.

- Smiles are contagious.

- Shoot ISO 400 and above, always.

- There are still may more scenic places to explore in my own backyard.

- Oakland rules.

- So does seeing local musicians in intimate venues.

- Remember to share (thoughts, feelings, snacks, hugs, etc.).

- I have potential on the ukulele.

And more, so much more...

Unfortunately, I was sick for my last free Friday, but Saturday more than made up for it. Some of my dear friends celebrated their birthdays by hosting a show at Bottom of the Hill. It was amazingly energizing to be surrounded by so many people I love.

Here's to another happy, healthy year!

Devin and I met this woman at Joaquin Miller. We were playing in an empty fountain, experimenting with the different sounds it made. This woman saw us and thanked us for showing her the "secret sound."
