A common scenario on the Tumblr search function:
ANY USER: Okay Tumblr search function I'd like to look up this one couple pairing (or any number of normal things!) and see it. Show me ALL of the posts tagged with this hashtag.
TUMBLR: Whoa hold on now buddy, that tag is a MATURE tag. It's inherently mature. I need to protect you, a likely adult, from seeing anything naughty.
This tag is inherently mature? (It's not)
Yes no matter what, a post tagged with this hashtag must be mature.
Well I understand that this couple pairing does have lovescenes in the tv shows that they're in but that's not ALL of the posts, you know that right? there's just... text posts or just regular pictures from non racy scenes or the celebrities at events. not their characters on the shows during love scenes.
no no it's all inherently mature there is no bias to what I mark that way don't worry about that.
... (doubt)
Any who this means I'm going to show you—
Right right, only the posts that aren't marked mature. Ok whatever ugh.
—only the the posts that ARE marked mature.
What....?
I'm only going to show you the ones that are mature. So if you go to this tag you can literally ONLY see the gif sets of them making out or their love scenes from their media but you can't see anything else like text posts or regular posts. 😊
Are you doing this correctly?
Yes of course.
You're showing me only the mature content, only the content that's marked mature to...
Protect you from a mature content yes. I am a good functioning website. Go me. 😊
