My advice to every young color guard member is to enjoy your time. Enjoy the time you have spinning. Enjoy it when it is difficult, enjoy it when it is easy. During hundred-degree summer rehearsals, enjoy it. Take every moment and keep it close. Worry less about "better, better, better" and focus on letting your love for this sport improve you. You never get this time back.

What's your favorite part about performing? and what about drum corps/wgi in general??

my favorite thing about performing and everything I’ve been involved with is finishing a sequence, or nailing a catch, or hitting the last pose of the show, and hearing the crowd roar, looking up and seeing all these people stand and cheer for us, for what we’ve poured our heart and souls into for months on end. it’s an irreplaceable feeling I can never get enough of.

Hundreds of manatees, the Andrew W.K.s of the sea, turned up at a Florida hot spring this week in such great numbers that the water had to be closed to humans for more than a day while they got their mellow, listless sea cow party on.
