I love wood frame construction. This looks so open, light and comfortable. And I am always a sucker for stairs with built in bookcases.

I am a bit confused that there are sooo many windows. You don’t need that many for good lighting in the rooms and it’s really unhelpful for heat conservation. So even if they are windows with good insulation the energy consumption might be pretty high.

But I have to admit it looks awesome from the inside, not so much from the outside though.

This is such an iconic shape and just such a huge project, it just blows you away. And while I’m normally not a fan of huge, fancy gestures I really like the organizational idea behind this. To connect people from all over this huge complex and give them space to meet and collaborate. I like how OMA tries to encourage relationships and narratives with the organizational system. I hope it really works they way they imagined it.

Structurally this must have been a nightmare, I do not envy the engineers that made this form possible.

what’s the pomodoro method?

the pomodoro method is a way of studying

you work, take a break, work again, and take another break

when should i use it?

it’s perfect if you have a lot of small different tasks to do

or a large amount of material to cover for a final exam, midterm, etc.

or if you’re looking for a way to stay focused while studying

how does it work?

set your timer to 25 minutes (this is suggested but you can change it to whatever you want)

work until you hear the timer go off

take a five minute break

repeat

every four pomodoros, take a longer break

are there any apps that i can use to time it?

#planwithmechallenge Day 12: Planning Journey I've always used planners in school, more or less successful. For the last years of school I had found one that worked really well and I loved it. Unfortunately it did not work for Uni, not at all. So I stopped using it 2-3 weeks into my first semester. The world didn't end and I still got everything done. After a while I started using habitRPG (now habitica) which is really fun and helps to track habits and dailies. But last year everything started to grow over my head and I really needed some planning back in my life. With some inspiration from #passionplanner and the #plannercommunity I created my own spreads. I just adore that staircase! It is so beautiful and has so many uses. Integrating shelfs into a staircase is a really clever idea and I love how this one has some more space to get comfortable and read.
