Giles Martin on John and Paul:
"Paul and John kind of knew that they were growing apart, and Let It Be was almost like a marriage thatās failing, and they wanna go on their date nights again".
today is the day i start to burn CDs. and i dont even have a laptop w a CD insert anymore but weāll find a way
the wizards of liverpool!!! and martha ā¤ļø
Lucky girl!
He needs a help hand, he is precious, pamper him!
ok trying to have some fun w it
I'm sure he'd prefer to be alive but thereās also no way that john lennon wouldnāt be a at least a little self-satisfied with the idea of his death permanently making him the center of paulās universe. he doesn't seem like the "you need to let me go" type. he seems more like the "if you don't cry over me at least once a week I'm going to start flickering the lights on and off until you have a seizure" type
Coiffure trouble š¬ļø
What's with Paul freaking out whenever his hair is about to be messed up? Like he can't hold it together that George wants to punch him in the face. John so soft, lovingly looks at P, fully understanding his bestie's ridiculous self-consciousness. George "See you in Greece. Any Tuesday afternoon" Harrison.

i will never be over paul having the interior design skills of every boy iāve ever met. like iāve never seen a frat house that didnāt look exactly like this.
(my brother once spent the whole weekend rearranging his room / hanging stuff on the wall and when he invited the family up to see the results iām so serious it looked exactly like this)
John not into chicks in this January 1966 issue of Fabulous magazine.
Naturally I googled the photoshoot...
The face and sleeves of a man who does not want to be doing this at all šā¤ļøš„š„
"Thereās a story that I used to straighten Johnās tie before we went on stage. That seems to have become a symbol of what my attitude was supposed to have been. Iāve never straightened anyoneās tie in my life, except perhaps affectionately."
Paul lets out a wee cough, fixes John's tie affectionately
John trying to be oblivious
John + Paul lose focus, messed up the words of their love song to each other
George smirking "embarrassing! serves you two right for being grossly lovesick"

Mary, Linda, and Paul McCartney during Maryās silver 25th birthday party, August of 1994

John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison on stage at Star Club, Hamburg, 1962.
60 years ago today!!
my grandma told me the story of when she saw this live.
she was eight and she only started to watch because her dad (my great grandfather) was really into music and wanted her to like it too.
she immediately FELL IN LOVE and stared at the tv for the whole program.
after the show, she begged her dad to take her to a concert and buy their records.
60 years ago, my grandmother fell in with The Beatles.
60 years later, so am i.
