<(^///^)> OMG Grandma is a closet fujoshi!
When I started Devilman: Crybaby I really didn't know what to expect. Therefore, I am giving you a warning if you plan to watch this anime I Highly recommend wearing headphones if you don't want anyone thinking your watching Hentai.
Happy Birthday to Me and my favorite charactor Ignis Scientia. How can you not love this precious morsel <(^///^)> I'm so happy I share a birthday with my bae
Spoilers! So, I have recently had the chance to read the last recent chapters of Akatsuki no Yona and OMG was I surprised. I can't believe that Hak finally confessed that he loves Yona. You don't realise how long I have been waiting for this moment and it happened. Gosh...You can tell it was a weight lifted off his shoulders once he told her. I really hope their relationship progress much farther into the coming chapters and that Yona become more honest with her feelings toward Hak. I am just so happy for this revelation! <(^////^)>
I always knew I was going to watch Violet Evergarden ever since I saw the trailer. I gotta say the visuals are beautiful and the story (at least to me) is rather intriguing. I am really looking forward to the next episode to come.
I just finished Boku no Hero Academia and now I know why everyone likes it. Basically, if Fairy Tail and One Punch Man had a baby it would surely be Boku no Hero Academia. This anime is a very nice blend between the two animes. I can't wait for season three now! Todoroki & Midoriya
While You Were Sleeping

Synopsis
Nam Hong-Joo aka Bae Suzy has this supernatural power that allows her to see into the immediate future. Thus, having such a power can be very enlightening as well as unpleasant. Especially, when you can not change the future in which you have witnessed. However, all this changes once she meets with a prosecutor named Jung Jae-Chan aka Lee Jong-Suk. Jea-Chan proved Hong-Joo that you can change the future from happening. Hence, will Jea-Chan and Hong-Joo be able to change the immediate future without causing more tragic outcomes to occur in place?
Review
Man....it has been such a long time since I sat down and watched a k-drama and well I missed it. So I have heard so much about While You Were Sleeping and I was like why not start with this and plus I like that fact that Lee Jong-Suk and Jung Hae-In was starring in this. Now, I have to admit that I don’t know what to expect and I hope I don’t have to leave this k-drama crying. Therefore, I will mentally prepare myself for the worst.
Okay...I got that off my chest and let’s jump into this review for episodes 1 through 5 of While You Were Sleeping. I would have to admit I was hooked in since the first episode and I literally had to make myself take a break from watching anymore episodes today. I know I would have binge watched until the sun have risen in the sky. So, I loved these last couple of episode because it had me in suspense and even getting angry at a certain cast member *cough* Lee Yoo-Beom aka Lee Sang-Yeob. He is such a sleezy ball and so infuriating ugh! I just can’t with him. Though besides him I found Hong-Joo very conceited in the fact that she honestly believes that Jea-Chan likes her. I’m like get real child you guys just met and he hasn’t shown any interest yet.
Furthermore, I really enjoyed the humour and connection each cast member presented in these first couple of episodes and I hope it continues. Therefore, I will post more episodic reviews on While You Were Sleeping in the future. See ya! <(^.^)>

Story
Hiiragi Kyouichirou has decided to move to tokyo in order to study at the university. However, Hiiragi becomes swept into a conflict by the Imperial army. Hence, Hiiragi must make a choice that will determine his impending future and the people he choose to associate with.
Review
Taishou Mebiusline: Chicchai-san felt more of an introduction than anything else. Okay! let me explain. Throughout this whole anime we kept getting snippets of information and nothing really solid to hold on to. Furthermore, I feel like if you are one of those people who have played or even watch someone play Taishou Mebiusline: Chicchai-san. You may have a better grasp of either what is going on or where in the story each episode is taking apart of.
Now, even though I have never watched nor played Taishou Mebiusline: Chicchai-san. I was still intrigued by the plot and what it had to offer. Then again, I was quite salty that each episode was about 3 minutes long and always knew where to cut off at a cliffhanger. But, I got to admit that I love and I mean LOVE that opening. Like come on I can listen to this opening all day.
Hmmm...similar animes to Taishou Mebiusline: Chicchai-san. I would have to say Togainu no Chi, Ling Qi and DRAMAtical Murder because of the the dark elements and cute moments.
Similarities
Spirits/demons
Friendships/love interest
Hints of yaoi/ Shounen Ai
Lead male character doubting their worth
Dark past/undertone
Lead male character is either dragged into a situation or has to make a choice
Based on a game/have a game
Recommendation
Thus, I recommend Taishou Mebiusline: Chicchai-san for those who like a cute but easy to watch short anime to kill time. Therefore, Taishou Mebiusline: Chicchai-san will be a good pick for you if you want something very similar to Togainu no Chi, Ling Qi and DRAMAtical Murder.
Starmyu

Hence, each share their own inspirations and reasons for joining Ayanagi Academy. So, will Yuta ever meet his role model? There is only one way to find out which is to join Yuta on this metaphorical climb up this inspiring story of trial and error.
Review
Starmyu...If I had to use one word to describe this anime as a whole it would be inspiration. I really fell in love with majority of the characters besides Akatsuki Kyoji. I was very annoyed with his actions in the first season and how he treated Otori and Otori’s chosen team which was blame in association. To think he would not give Otori’s team a chance to become something great Ugh! Well I understand now that he only wanted Otori to not run away. But there are other ways of doing that and using his team against him is not.
Furthermore, I would have to recommend that if you do watch both seasons of Starmyu please Please! watch the ova associated with the season because you would feel less confuse at the beginning of season two. See I usually watch all the main episodes first before I look at any ovas because I noticed that normally ovas isn’t really impacting the main story that much. However, in the case of Starmyu it leads you into the next season so that you have an understanding of what's to come.
So you can imagine when the second season started and the other members was baffle of the fact that Yuta didn’t remember that Otori and the other senpai’s was graduating was a little like ok how would he know because there was no mention in the last season. Though little did I know it was mentioned and addressed in the first ova. So don’t do I like did and binge watch through to the second season without looking at the ova. Also, be prepare for a lot and I mean a lot of walking away (i.e. looking at Otori’s back as he walks away from situations. I’m sorry...I can’t count the number of times Otori or even other characters who just walked away when a certain situation doesn't suit them.)
Now, I got to mention this as a fellow fushoji. I haven’t felt this true connection between two characters in a while since Yuri on Ice with Victor and Yuri. Thus the connection I am talking about is between Otori and Yuta especially in the second season. Everytime they shared a screen together it was just so cute and adorable. Gosh...Yuta was acting like a school girl with a crush everytime he came in contact with Otori.
Another thing is you know that their relationship is not meant to be taking out of contexts like Victor and Yuri’s relationship. But you just can’t help it when there are little hints here and there. Man...I didn’t squeal so loud in my life (expect with Victor and Yuri) when Otori join in the dance with Yuta and the rest of the members of Stardust. It was just so beautiful and just...right. I can’t wait to see what Starmyu has instore for us in the future.
So, for similar animes to Starmyu. I would say Uta no Prince sama, Yuri on Ice, Shounen Hollywood: Holly Stage for 49 and 50, B-Project, and Magic-Kyun! Renaissance because of the inspiration to become something more than just a “normal” existence.
Similarities
Inspiration
Role models
Entertainment world(i.e. music, idols, acting, and modeling)
Friendships
Hints of yaoi
Lead male characters doubting their worth
Teams/Groups
High School
Dark past/undertone
Recommendation
Therefore, I recommend Starmyu for those who like a story that is filled with inspiring feelings of the development in character’s dreams and hopes of becoming a better existence (or number one). Thus, Starmyu will be a good pick for you if you want something very similar to Uta no Prince sama, Yuri on Ice, Shounen Hollywood: Holly Stage for 49 and 50, B-Project, and Magic-Kyun! Renaissance.
That moment when your crush spots you
Net-juu no Susume
Seasons: 1
Episodes: 10
Ova: 1
Status: Finished
Genres: Comedy, Game, Romance
Story
Moriko Morioka is a 30 year old single NEET. However, Moriko wasn’t always a NEET she once worked an office job, but decided to quit to become a NEET in order to find a more fulfilling existence. There, Moriko discovers a new MMO called Fruits De Mer and experiences a whole new world with chance meetings and long lasting friendships to come. Thus, join Moriko on her Recovery of an MMO Junkie.
Review
Net-juu no Susume was a very cute and relatable anime. Gosh...I found myself awwing at one moment and drawn in with suspense for the next episode. So let’s talk about Moriko. Moriko was such an easy character to grow attached to and understand her inner struggles with society. I actually liked the fact she was very awkward around others and certain situations. I found it very cute and adorable, especially all her interactions with Sakurai.
Now, I wanted to point out that I love how this anime conducted this storyline and how certain things were revealed. Like for example, how Sakurai admitted to Moriko that he is Lily from Fruits De Mer. This was a step up from most animes from the past. Meaning! in most animes when one character knows a secret that is related to the second character. Nine out of ten, the truth would either be told to the second character, but for some unforeseen reason the second character couldn’t hear what the first character said. And I am looking at you Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi. I can list even more anime which have done the same, but it would be a long list and I think you get the point. Furthermore, the other scenario would lead to the first character not telling the second character anything until it is at the very very last moment.
Typically, this can come off as annoying because you know that if this character finds out a lot sooner certain things will fall into place and make the story ten times more interesting. Then again, the only reason why certain animes do this is because they are trying to stretch out the series. Which is understandable but come on...
Furthermore, Moriko and Sakurai’s relationship was very refreshing and adorable to watch. I felt as if their love was very genuine and can last into the future. I gotta say I was quite surprise to see this ova so soon. I wasn’t expecting another episode, but I must say I don’t mind at all. Therefore, to not spoil anything in this ova I would say that this episode was rather sweet in laying the fact that Sakurai and Moriko will potential become a thing which is not new news.
So, for similar animes to Net-juu no Susume. I would say Quanzhi Gaoshou, Inu x Boku SS,Sword Art Online, and Princess Jellyfish because of the aspect of game interactions and character development between both love interests.
Similarities
Romance
Dark past/undertone
Interactive game world
Friendships
Adult gamers
Potential love triangle
Lead male character doubting his worth
Teams/Guilds
Shy, yet awkward female lead character
Recommendation
Therefore, I recommend Net-juu no Susume for those who like a story that is filled with cute/fuzzy feelings of love and past encounters. Thus, Net-juu no Susume will be a good pick for you if you want something very similar to Quanzhi Gaoshou, Inu x Boku SS,Sword Art Online, and Princess Jellyfish
Nobunaga The Fool
Seasons: 1
Episodes: 24
Status: Finished
Genres: Action, Historical, Mecha, Sci-Fi
Story
Long ago there was one planet bound by a chain called the Dragon Stream. However, one day the planet was split into two because of the wane of Dragon Stream and is now known as the West and East. Now both planets fight through an unending war over the last remaining Dragon Stream. But then, everything changes when a girl from the West named Jeanne Kaguya d'Arc has visions of a "Savior-King" that lives in the East. Will Jeanne prophecy of Nobunaga oda being the "Savior-King" be true or is he really the “King of Destruction” instead?
Review
Nobunaga the Fool was a rather good anime. However, only through episodes 1 - 12 because episodes 12 - 24 felt forced and had a sense that certain things happen because “the plot demanded it”. Like don’t get me wrong the story and Tarot cards was what brung out the anime world. Then again, there were times in which you would question certain characters actions and motives.
Furthermore, I would say there were some likable characters here and there. But F.Y.I you might become very annoyed with Jeanne Kaguya aka Ranmaru in episodes 12 - 24 because of her stupid and naive choices. Gosh…I didn’t understand why she needed to disguise as a man when Nobunaga’s sister had found out. Essentially, we get no explanation besides something dealing with Nobunaga’s sister. Which didn’t explain anything at all and for me this was the only unanswered question.
Now, the romance in Nobunaga the Fool felt…how should I put it…forced and unnatural. Like, there were times in which Jeanne and Nobunaga’s relationship could have the potential to blossom and other times where it felt like they didn’t get enough time together to even warrant any romantic feelings for each other. I would know because I am a stickler of romance and don’t get me wrong I don’t have any high standards on what is or is not romance. But you can feel when something feels unnatural versus natural. Oh! and another thing…certain deaths felt like it could have been avoided for lack of a better word. Man…was there a lot of “backstabbing” in Nobunaga the Fool.
So for similar animes to Nobunaga the Fool. I would say Drifters, Code Geass, Brave 10, and Kuromukuro are quite similar in the world domination with heavy action and light romance.
Similarities
Historical setting/figures
Romance (A chance the two main love interest will meet again in the unforeseen future.)
Dark past/undertone
Gore
Sense of comradery
Mecha
Awesome action packed scenes
Samurai
World Dominance
One main goal to keep the world balanced from dark forces or dangers
Death is a serious occurrence
Recommendation
Therefore, I recommend Nobunaga the Fool for those who like a story that is plagued with deceit, love and revenge. Thus, Nobunaga the Fool will be a good pick for you if you want something very similar to Drifters, Code Geass, Brave 10, and Kuromukuro.
When you don't approve of your best friend's choices
Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu

Story
It is the year 1863, where dark forces are plotting to change the historic past. Therefore, it is up to japanese swords animated to be young handsome men to travel back in time to destroy darkness and protect the world from unbalance. Yes, this will be a assiduous battle, but in order for the world’s balance to stay in peace such measure must be taken! Therefore, Izuminokami Kanesada along with his comrades must fight against these dark forces as well as their overwhelming need to not change the past for their own personal gain...
Review
Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu was a very visually action packed anime that allow for more awesome fighting scenes many begged for or at least expected from Touken Ranbu. Therefore, I was pretty content with this overall alternative setting that brought on a more dark and serious undertone. Furthermore, certain characters was able to get more screen time which allowed for the audience to grow more attached to said characters and their viewpoints.
Hence, I was pretty happy to get more screen time with Izuminokami Kanesada, but I was a little upset I still couldn’t get enough with Shokudaikiri Mitsutada like I wanted from Touken Ranbu. Essentially, I want to learn more about his past and his master, but all I’m getting is a caring mom like figure which is cute in its own way...BUT! I want to see him fight and express his feelings toward certain situations! Well...I can’t get too mad I did get to see some sweet fight sequences with Mikazuki Munechika so that's a plus.
Now, for similar animes to Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu. I would say Drifters, Tales of Zestiria the X, Fate/Stay Night, and Hakuouki are quite similar in the visual and action department and a staple need of friendship/comradery.
Similarities
Historical setting/figures
Visually beautiful
Dark past/undertone
Handsome guys
Gore
Sense of comradery
Awesome action packed scenes
Samurai
Game adaptation
One main goal to keep the world balanced from dark forces or dangers
Recommendation
Therefore, I fully recommend Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu for those who like a visually beautiful action packed story that is guaranteed to make you want more. Moreover, you get more great fighting sequences and certain character development you once wanted from Touken Ranbu. Thus, Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu will be a great pick for you if you want something very similar to Drifters, Tales of Zestiria the X, Fate/Stay Night, and Hakuouki.
So what are you waiting for? If you’re interested you can find Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu streaming on Crunchyroll.
