Heyo!! I am a bugfox critter who enjoys producing art and comics of bugs, foxes and monsters and studying biology (as a hobbyist). I go by names such as Fox-Fleas or Pepper, hi!

My main special interests include the following:

Entomology and bugs

Canids (especially the True Foxes and the broader Vulpini tribe :3)

Evolutionary biology and natural history (the Cambrian Period and Paleozoic Era in general especially)

Xenofiction (with the novel Hunter's Moon by Garry Kilworth being one of my all-time favourites!)

I produce a webcomic titled God Animal, a surreal xenofiction story about a pair of foxy friends and their unworldly but friendly metaphysical companion, attempting to survive an ethereal post-apocalyptic world in an alternate 2003. It is also available to read on WEBTOON!

I drew a little comic that I have been meaning to for quite a while, involving my OCs Cat and Dog. They are both canonically aro-ace, much like myself, the critter who draws them. It was quite cathartic to draw this one, I must say.

Initially I was not even intending to post this one online, but I am rather pleased with it. Not to mention it is after all Pride Month, so why not?

Hornet Moth (Sesia apiformis)

Also known as the Hornet Clearwing, the hornet moth is no hornet but a species of sesiid moth that is native to the British Isles, Germany, Holland, and Austria (it has also been introduced to North America). This species is quite similar to the Lunar Hornet Moth (S.bembeciformis) but is distinguished by its yellow head and shoulders and black collar. Like the lunar hornet moth S.apiformis will overwinter as a larvae once or twice and adults will fly from June to July and sometimes August. Adults are often seen on poplar trees as these are their larval food plant.
