Hi everyone! Today we're diving back into Eorzea in Final Fantasy Fourteen, running through the brick wall event and seeing just how far through ARR's MSQ I can go while tired!

For my next Makers and Crafting stream, I want to challenge myself to make a plush with just this yarn, sizing it with the color I have the least of.

But my challenge is that I only want to make it, not necessarily keep it.

So if I'm going to make this fellow, I need a buyer.

Note: you don't need a Ko-Fi account in order to buy things from a Ko-Fi shop. You just need an email address and/or a PayPal. Yes, I have Etsy, which people seem to understand more intuitively, but I don't like using Etsy because of how you have to pay to post things. Like monthly charge pay to post. It's less than a dollar, but I still don't like it. Ko-Fi is free for me to post stuff, so I'm sticking to Ko-Fi.

it’s a shame more vampire media doesn’t pull from vampire bat behavior because they’re such sweeties. they can only survive their incredibly specialized diet because bats will share blood with colony members that didn’t find a meal! there’s evidence that suggests the donors sometimes initiate this behavior themselves by approaching hungry bats! the colonies are mostly harems of females with a few males but they’ve been observed letting unrelated males in when it gets cold so they can all stay warm! cute little social critters!

Oh, I'm absolutely going to do this.

Maybe not literally, it'll depend on exactly how I go about the whole "vampire" thing (I haven't built the Tapperverse quite this far yet, I just know there are vampires), but to quote from GojiCenter when they were using vampire bats in one of their hybrids, "Those that drink what flows through the heart have big hearts themselves," and that'll apply to my vampires too (at least, the ones that were straight-up born that way rather than cursed like one isolated area of the Tapperverse).

I'm glad this crossed my dashboard - I so rarely get to see media where Kurt Wagner gets to have anything resembling a romantic interaction, which I think is a shame because he's my favorite X-Man.

It's wonderful when I see that the Marvel universe has women that see Kurt the way I do.

To be fair, if I was a female bird and cross-species dating was allowed so that I could date anything in Class Aves, I would pick the cassowary.

Cassowaries are peak fathers. Under normal circumstances, they're actually rather shy. Every instance of its "deadly reputation" being shown, odds are very high that there were babies in the area that he was protecting.

I realize I didn't add any stream start times. I tend to stream either on days when I work in the morning and just stream "after work" or outright days off from my job.

Monday and Thursday meet that "after work" criteria, so their start time is going to be around 3PM PST.

I also realize that saying I'm streaming on Friday was...premature. That's a day off of work, but there's a chance I'll be called in, and I can't confirm whether stream will happen until I've learned that.

Saturday's "Day Off?" is because I'm scheduled for work, but it's not at a time that's a guaranteed "I have to go in." If it turns out I get that day off, I might stream, but I don't know what. Maybe it'll be what I said on Friday, if stream doesn't happen then.

So M was like "I've realised you can express these two knitting techniques as binary 1s and 0s!" But Doom is something like 20 MB, and we'd joked about this obscure Mario knitting game for the Famicom Disk System, and the ROM was something like 120 KB instead

Everyone: Please please please don't write your books in Google Docs. Frankly don't use Google Drive for personal stuff.

Their terms of service say they take down stuff like content related to terrorism and trafficking, but this Google Sheet was literally a list of movies I'd watched this year and books I'd read.

Holy smokes, guys. It's way worse than I thought. Google actually took away access to every single file of fiction writing I'd made on that account. BUT I backed it all up on Scrivener yesterday by coincidence. So I haven't lost my work, but I could have just lost the 12,000 words I've written this month after a year of really intense writer's block. I honestly don't know what that would have done to my psyche.

That is awful! If you're looking for a gdocs-like replacement, Ellipsus @ellipsus-writes is a queer friendly, anti-AI equivalent with online syncing and sharing - I've been using it for almost a year now as a replacement for gdocs and absolutely love it.

I do still back up all my work to local storage on LibreOffice too though, thank goodness you backed up to Scrivener OP!

Big reminder that LibreOffice is free and always will be if you don't trust cloud services, too. Keep your shit local - it means you can work on it when you don't have internet, as a bonus

Considering monarch butterflies are poisonous, this is probably a deliberate design choice to avoid getting eaten.
