These miniature tree houses are the creation of Los Angeles-based artist Jedediah Corwyn Voltz. For an ongoing series entitled Somewhere Small, Voltz constructed tiny, beautifully detailed dwellings made to fit on and around houseplants and bonsai trees.

“Voltz relies on over a decade of commercial prop making for film and other projects to craft each structure from scratch using small bits of wood, silk fabric, miniature artworks, and semi precious stones that are hidden throughout.“

These particular itty-bitty tree houses and watch towers will be on display at Virgil Normal in Los Angeles from April 23, 2016.

Unexpected happenings.

Dog passed away today. I don't know if I should feel sad- or more like, I don't know how sad I should feel?.. I mean. He's always been my dog. Yes. But I was never as close to this dog- as I am to the others. Maybe it's the time factor. Or maybe it's the fact that I never got to bond much with Champ- given exams and my dad usually training him on Sundays.

This is off the Bermuda Triangle,  where 16+ ships washed up on a sand bar. The mystery is still unsolved

Actually the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle has been given a scientific explanation: methane vents which have been discovered in that region. 

Methane reduces the density of water, causing ships that would normally float, to instead sink.

Methane, when in gas form, messes with the electrical components of aircraft, causing them to fail and sometimes fall right out of the sky.

Methane also causes the water to turn a ghostly greenish color, and the “ghost ships” reported to be seen are simply green reflections of the ships that scatter the bottom of the triangle.

I’ve entered the most recent Cath Kidston competition of a ‘Dream Room in a Shoe Box’ so I chose a craft room! 

Everything in the box was made by me- the furniture and picture frames are basic balsa wood constructions with some cocktail sticks and wood skewers for the chair backs and legs. I think the only thing I used without some sort of altering was the tub for the balls of wool.

I’m very pleased with how this come out over all- it was a fun project and looks very cute!
