What daddy doesn’t know...
When I woke up in the morning I nearly freaked out, it was already noon and I still hadn't headed out for the League. I mean, sure I stayed up talking to dad last night about, well everything, and with my victory I just couldn't get to sleep easily. But I never thought that I'd fall into such a deep sleep that I'd completely sleep through my alarm. Hurrying to get everyone ready I packed my clothes away and pulled out a cereal bar. Once I got all I needed to straightened away I rushed out of the PokeCenter and into the cold air. Shivering at first I headed to route 21, and within a few minutes I happily took my coat off. It was still a little chilly, but warm enough to be able to travel with just my long sleeve shirt.
I took the better half of an hour to fully explore all that the route had to offer and made sure to take my time fighting each trainer I came across. The coolest thing was coming across a small cabin at the north most part of the route, and the guy who lived there could teach the move Draco Meteor. All this became over shadowed as I reached the entry of Victory Road.
Showing my newly completed badge case to the trainer at the gated entrance he happily let me though, but not with out a battle to see how skilled my team was. The battle wasn't too bad, but he was definitely tougher that other trainers that I've met along the way, but again, that was nothing compared to the hall.
On either side of me were hanging banners on each side of the hall, one badge on each of them with a colored light shining up on them. Walking along slowly I took it all in, stopping at a circular pad I was brought back to reality, the entrance to the next part was blocked off with a gap in the floor. I had almost turned to ask what was going on when the pad I was standing on lit up, wide eyed I watched as the lights on the door ahead dim before it fell down creating a bridge to cross. The Pokeball at the top spun around and the door opened, stairs slowly forming by some mechanism, it was truly something to see. Slowly making my way up I couldn't help but be amazed, I mean I was finally on Victory Road, the elite four were just within reach!
Stepping out of the hall I found myself back outside and looking at what looked like a broken down castle surrounding a tunnel ahead. After a few breaths to collect myself I started climbing the stairs to the tunnel. The tunnel itself was nothing more than a big maze, and the trainers in it weren't messing around, that and I just wasn't expecting them to toughen up as much as they did. Either way, it took what felt like forever to figure out the puzzles in this cave and battle each trainer, by the time I finally made it out I was already wiped, I can only imagine my team not feeling it too. Leaning against the rocky wall just outside the tunnel for a moment to catch my breath. Taking in my surroundings I couldn't help but notice it really did look like some sort of broken down castle, it made me wonder if it was somehow related to the story AZ and Lysandre had made reference to.
Shoulders drooping at the thought, Lysandre and mom weren't here to hear about me taking on victory road and the elite four, mom would've been so happy to see me this far. Frowning at my own train of thought I shook my head, I couldn't let that get to me. I have to keep pushing on, I promised myself I would finish what I started and I had no intention of stopping now, for myself and for mom. It took another moment but I finally gathered my thoughts and pushed myself back up to continue on, but didn't make it too far before being challenged to another battle, luckily it was over quickly thanks to Erzi and his metal moves.
Moving on I was hailed over by an Ace Trainer, going over curiously she offered to heal up my pokemon, thanking her I took the moment to check the time. My jaw nearly hit the ground when I saw the time, it was already seven at night, I'd have to set up camp for the night; man if only I didn't sleep in so late I might have actually made it to the league.
Grumbling to myself I found an open patch that looked like it was often used for camping, setting my bag down I heard my name being called. Looking over to where the voice was coming from I couldn't stop the smile that split across my face. Calem came running up and I launched myself at him, pulling him into a close hug, I couldn't believe he was here, that could only mean, "You got your final badge?!"
"Yeah, I got it this morning then headed straight here," nodding at his response.
Pulling back his expression changed into one of determination, "You know... I've been thinking, ever since all that trouble in Geosenge."
My blood ran cold, why was he bringing that up now.
"Lysandre chose only Team Flare, but Shauna and I chose everyone but Team Flare."
"C-Calem don't," my heart still ached from everything that happened.
"Just hear me out, the position we all found ourselves in forced our hands, and I realized only one of us were right."
Taking deep, I needed to hold it together, I won't break down.
"If only both sides followed your lead and actually tried to talk, then maybe we would have been able to meet halfway."
Feeling him take my hand in his I just stared up at him, hearing him saying something that's not negative about Lysandre was new. Trying to find words my voice failed me, all I could do was watch as he kissed my hand.
"So, that's why I've decided that from now on, when we battle it won't be to win, but to try and understand what you and team think and feel."
"Calem..."
"So what do you say, up for a battle?"
Nodding, I pulled back and we distanced ourselves for the battle. I have to say that he's gotten stronger himself, but my team still had the edge and it was over pretty quickly. As he recalled his Flareon I watched him shake his head and walk over with a smile, "Still can't get one over on you. You know, it's because I met you that I was able to get to this point."
"Don't say that, you'd have made it this far even without me," I offered him several revives.
Healing up his team he shook his head, "I kept going pushing myself because I didn't want to lose to you. I realize now its not just your power, but you have such a deep bond with your pokemon. I guess that's where we need to start, spending more time getting to know each of them better."
Watching as he began to pack everything up I reached out and stopped his hand and smiled, "Hey, why not rest here for the night. I mean its late and all." His eyes widened for a moment before he returned the smile and nodded. My heart skipped a beat when I realized that we'd be camping together. Keeping his hand in mine and gently lead him to a cleared out patch.
It took us a while to figure out exactly how we were going to share the tent, and even how we were going to be sleeping. So after switching around our sleeping bags at least five times, we came to the decision to instead unzip them both completely. One was flat on the ground to cushion it a bit and the other was going to cover us up for the night.
Chatting about anything that came to mind we eventually crawled into the makeshift bed; cuddling up next to each other it felt nice how he raked his hands through my hair. Closing my eyes I let my mind drift, with all that had been weighing on me that past couple of days it really meant the world that Calem stayed with me tonight. I'm sure my dad wouldn't share my sentiment, but I guess what daddy doesn't know doesn't hurt him.
im like ready to do anything but not actually do the stickers
Finally got them all!
Once everyone was ready to travel once more I figured it was about time to head back and get the last badge. The forest was much easier to navigate back to Snowbelle City, and it wasn’t until I reached the edge of the trees that my over the moon mood came crashing back to reality. It was cold… very, very cold. Shivering I was completely amazed at the difference in temperature between the trees and where I was now just a few feet in the city. Wrapping my arms together in rubbing to create warmth I made my way to a bench and decided to pull my jacket back out, and quickly tossed it over my shoulder and buttoned it up. Slinging the bag back on my shoulder I couldn’t help but still shiver a bit as my body was warming up.
I tried to push that out of my mind, now I simply had to focus on facing Wulfric for my last badge!
Yo, please reblog this if you don't intend to abandon your XY muse come November
[[I mean like actually keeping them in Kalos and being somewhat active with them even once we get ORAS rolling, it would just be nice to know and yeah ;v;]]
It's so cold here, I really didn't want to even get out of bed, I don't even have any below freezing appropriate clothes with me. There had to be a boutique somewhere here in town to get some warmer, so that moved right up to the top of my to do list for the day. Forcing myself out of bed was the worst, I was so warm wrapped up in the covers, but once out of bed and dressed I had to build up the courage to actually leave the PokeCenter.
Wrapping my arms around myself I rushed across town, looking to find somewhere to buy a coat at the least. Finally I came across just what I was looking for and couldn't get in the door fast enough. Smiling at the associate who was clearly startled by my entrance I bow in apology before starting to look around for something to wear. Sadly most of the simple jackets were picked over but an ultra warm double breasted coat dress. Taking it off the rack I checked to make sure it was my size and happily sighed before heading to the register. Paying I asked to change clothes and she happily let me into a fitting room; closing the door behind myself I pulled something I thought I would never need out of my bag, a pair of tights.
Once fully dressed again I thanked the employees before heading back out into the cold, this time properly shielded from the cold and snow. turning back I started making my way to the gym, and excitement started building, I just had to beat this leader and I'd be on my way to the Pokemon League! Picking up my pace I was shocked to see that the greeter was standing in the way of the door.
Stopping to talk to him for a minute to see what was going on only to find out that the Gym Leader was out right now. Slumping my shoulders a bit I was really excited to battle him today; the greeter must have noticed my disappointment since he told me that I could try and find him just south in the Winding Woods. With a small smile I thanked him and bowed my head before turning back around.
Making my way towards the woods I was surprised to see it all green instead of being covered in a blanket of snow. Still the air was bitter cold again confirming that this coat dress was a smart buy. Pulling the coat closed a bit more I started making my way south hoping that he wasn't going to be too hard to find. Though my luck thought it would be better if I confused myself by making a few wrong turns and finding myself back at the edge of town.
Taking a deep breath I headed back in again this time with better luck, after a good fifteen minutes and a couple battles with some little kids playing in the forest I found a opening into a flower field. A man with a blue puffer jacket had his back turned to me as he looked over he Pokemon that were surrounding him. Taking a few steps closer the Pokemon began to flee deeper in the meadow and I froze, I didn't mean to scare them.
"Do you know what this place is," he asked as he turned around to face me. With a quick shake of my head he continued on, "Welcome to the Pokemon Village. This place is a secret y'know?"
"I'm sorry I didn't mean," he waved his hand dismissing my apology.
"Most of the Pokemon here are runaways," he paused and crossed his arms, "escaped from bad people who did awful things to them. Its a shame how many heartless trainers who can't bother to care for their Pokemon are out there."
Mouthing 'oh' I didn't know what else to do or say as he continued explaining, "Some of these Pokemon, though... Some of 'em are just too strong and found they didn't really have a place in the outside world, so they came here."
I don't know why but hearing his last words my mind snapped to Yveltal and how I helped him and simply shoved him in storage instead of trying to connect with him. Looking down at the flowers at our feet I didn't want him to see me as a trainer like that, "Hmm... I see."
Locking eyes with the man in the blue jacket again he smiled at me and I noticed that Todd and Free Bird had let themselves out and stood by me. "Your Pokemon sure seem to think highly of you. You've had some good times together, haven't you?"
Smiling he turned his back again and I used my right hand to scratch behind Todd's ear and held my left arm up so Free Bird could perch if she wanted. Before I could speak he yelled out in the meadow, "Hey! You all can come out now. This one's all right!"
To my surprise all the Pokemon who scattered started making their way back over and I couldn't help it and exclaimed, "Wow!"
Laughing he turned around again, "Sometimes I get worried and come here to check on everyone. Oh! Excuse my manners. We haven't even had a proper introduction yet. The name's Wulfric."
Extending my hand and gave him a firm shake, "I'm Tash, its nice to meet you."
Smiling he told me a bit more about himself, "I'm usually over at the Gym in Snowbelle City, since I'm the Gym Leader and all. Let me guess... you want to challenge me?"
My eyes widened it seemed like meeting Gym Leader outside the Gym has become a talent of mine, "Oh, yeah, your greeter told me that I might find you in here I just didn't make the connection right away."
"I thought so. Sorry to inconvenience you like this," this time I waved away his apology, seeing a place like this was more than worth it.
Getting a chuckle from him he added, "I'll be waiting for you back at the Gym, then. Before you come by, I think it would do you good to spend some time with the Pokemon here."
With that he took his leave and I reached out to one of the Pokemon letting it smell my hand before I tried to pet it. Smiling the Furfrou nudged my hand with its nose letting me know it was okay. Letting the rest of my crew out they happily started mingling with the runaways. Sitting down I pulled out a small thing of treats and happily gave each of the runaways one along with my team. Still Yveltal came back in mind again, he was stuck in storage after trusting me to help him. Pulling my legs closer I thought about it more, I couldn't keep letting his powers scare me.
The Furfrou seemed to pick up on my distress and licked my cheek, smiling at it I patted it once more, "Don't worry, after I become champion I'll make sure to come back and spend time with you guys and bring Yveltal so we can all become better friends."
Barking at me happily it ran away tail wagging, and slowly the others followed suit leaving just me and my team. Standing up I made sure everything was packed away and stretched, "So are you guys ready to get our last badge?"
I have no control over what my muse does.
Mun: Really, you shouldn’t be doing that…

Back on the road
It was weird waking up on the couch of the apartment that had been left for me, but either way it was much more comfortable that the beds at the PokeCenter. Also being able to cook breakfast in a kitchen instead of snack bars was great, and the view was, just wow. Last time here in Lumiose I didn't get a chance to watch the sun rise, but it was beautiful seeing it peak over the other buildings and shine of Prism Tower. There was just something about it all that made me never what to leave the city again, but I have a journey to finish. So as much as I would have loved to stay I locked the apartment up and had Free Bird head back to Couriway Town.
As we touched down my attention instantly turned to the waterfalls and a calming energy took over. Sighing happily I reattached Free Birds ball to my belt and continued south through the small rural town towards route 19. As soon as I passed through the gateway I was hit with a light marshy smell; exploring a bit to the wet I quickly found the source of the smell. Decending the steps I found myself stepping through soggy grounds and met up with a few wild Sliggoos at the marshes edge. Most were too content with their surroundings to even acknowledge us, but a few came for a fight. Warding them off I finally reached an area that was too deep to walk through and called Erzi to swim us over to the other side where we'd be able to walk again. Nodding he did so and to my surprise were only ambushed once by a lone Carnivine, recalling him as I we finally came to a place I could walk again I continued on exploring.
A few hours later, and a few ranger battles later, we reached some railing that lead us back up to where we started from. There weren't many Pokemon that we hadn't already encountered down there, but found a lot of dropped items hidden away in grassier areas. Either way it took a lot out of all of us stomping around in the marshes, and a pit stop to the PokeCenter was in order. Not just for my team, but to change into some drier clothes, and thankfully the change area was free so while everyone was getting patched us I slipped into some clean jeans and made sure to put boots on this time.
Once back on route 19 I took the eastern path which was a lot shorter than I had originally expected, as I could see the connecting gate right across the bridge. Tugging my bag back up on my shoulder I started to make my way across, half way over I heard a familiar voice calling for me. Turning around a smile took over and I waved as Shauna came running to catch up to me, determination clear on her face. Stopping the gleam never left her eyes, "Hey, do you know what's about to happen?"
It clicked and my smile turned into a cocky grin, "Of course!"
"That's right! I'm challenging you to a battle! We are Pokemon Trainers, after all," she bounced a bit before placing her hands on her hips. Nodding I took my stance as she spun around happily and sent out her Delcatty first. Pulling Erzi off my belt I was ready for her, signaling to use low sweep he went to attack only to be hit with charm, weakening his attack a bit. Signaling a low sweep again he was first hit with play rough, but managed to land his attack and take out her Delcatty. Switching out I was caught of guard as she sent out a Goodra next, recalling Erzi I sent out Free Bird.
Her speed gave us the advantage as Goodra missed as Free Bird took up to the sky, only to dive bomb down and attack. Following up with a wing attach Goodra was down and out, causing her to switch to her final Pokemon, Chesnaught. Swapping to Todd it was like out first battle back in Aquacorde, facing off with our starters. Sadly she didn't last as long this time. Not only did Todd's Mystical fire land, but it was a critical hit, taking it out in one hit.
Recalling Chesnaught she pouted a bit at her defeat, "Battling with friends is really, really exciting, but man I was hoping to win!"
Laughing a bit I walked over and gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder as she continued, "That reminded me of our battle in Aquacorde Town. That was the first time for both of us to battle with our Pokemon."
"I was thinking that same thing, it felt really nice," I couldn't help but agree, which was followed by us turning and looking as we heard both our names being called out. Tierno and Trevor were both making their way up to us.
"Hey what are you two up to," Teirno called out as they took the last few steps closing the gap in our little group.
"Nothing big, what about you guys," Shauna asked them cheerfully.
"Why the same thing as you, we heard about Tash from the professor and came running as fast as we could," Trevor replied with the same drive Shauna had before challenging me. Only leaving me to wonder what exactly did the professor tell them.
"Tash! Can we have a Pokemon battle? Oh, uh... sorry to just throw that at you," he retreated from a battle stance to rubbing the back of his neck.
Laughing a bit I happily nodded, "Of course, but I'm not going to go easy on you guy!"
After a good fifteen minutes of battling both Tierno and Trevor, only to leave them both a bit off put from both of them losing to me. Trevor took it really hard, and I felt bad, he and Shauna are the two youngest of our group, and it just seemed like he was really trying to show everyone that he could do it no matter what. After cheering him up a bit Shauna teased me a bit about how its strange that I didn't know where Calem was, which really let the cat out of the bag, if it wasn't already. Tierno then joined in the the teasing causing me to lightly punch his arm but still smile and laugh about it.
Not long after that the two boys left and while Shauna and I talked a bit more about how much we've all grown on our journey. Before she too took her leave she gave me a small box and told me that it was a gift from everyone, and not to open it until she was gone. Chuckling a bit I agreed that I would wait to open it, and as soon as she was out of sight I sat down on the bridge with my legs dangling over and opened it to find the HM for waterfall inside. Smiling I closed it back up and put it in my bag. I use to think it was so strange, how they have all been so willing to share with me, a complete stranger, but now I know what they mean about the power of friendship.
After just sitting and thinking back for a few minutes I pushed myself up and finished crossing the bridge, and soon found myself in the frigid cold of Snowbelle. Rushing to the PokeCenter to get warmed up I decided to just call it a day.
PSA
No one is better at writing your muse than you. You chose your muse for a reason, and that reason makes you phenomenal. You portray your muse different than others; you bring a life and a style to your muse that no one else can. YOU PORTRAY YOUR MUSE PERFECTLY AND DON’T LET ANYONE ELSE TELL YOU DIFFERENT.
Saul eat your broccoli or you’re not getting any rare candy tonight.
Its almost too much
The morning was bright, and I could hear dad and grandpa talking, it really felt like we were all one big happy family again. Getting up and ready for the day wasn't too bad, the fact I was flying back to Lumiose was what made me a little more weary. Latching everyone onto my belt and made my way out thanking the staff for letting me stay; outside the air was cool and fresh, it was a nice change of pace from to colder weather that we've been having. Releasing Free Bird I carefully climbed on before petting her head and letting her know I wanted to go to Lumiose.
Dont ask artists for free art you scrubs
How to waste your talent while losing your friends all at once because all you care about is money: A tumblr guide on how to be a cunt to those who admire you.
Imagine if the Mona Lisa was a commission and s/he had no money.
the mona lisa was a commission you shitshill, that’s how artists make a fucking living. it’s how we get the money to pay for things we need, because we don’t want to spend all our time working in a shitty job instead of doing things that are important to us, like working on personal projects or spending time with people we like. by thinking that you deserve free art is basically telling them “your time and skill isn’t worth anything but my personal enjoyment!” and if someone only wanted to be friends with me for free art, i don’t want that friendship because that sounds like an awful friend. artists are people with lives and often art is our only source of income and if you really admired us you would understand and support that.
jesus fucking christ “imagine if the mona lisa was a commission” rolls head back and laughs
"imagine if the mona lisa was a commission" AHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH
The above commentary is hilarious but the commenter was some fraction of right IMO. In some cases, handled correctly, there’s nothing wrong with asking for ‘free art’, ie: a request, a thing very commonly done by artists who aren’t currently in need of money, and have some free time. For me at least, the idea of doing a request is a lot less stressful than doing a commission, which is why i sometimes do the former and so far, never the latter. I very well might tell you no, but I’d never be offended if you show (polite) interest (and I may very well say yes!) Yeah, if the artist shoots you down, or already has it clearly stated that they’re only doing commissions, you should respect that. But the idea it’s somehow INSULTING to (politely!) ask for a request is a little bogus to me

So busy
So the last week and half, give or take a few days; dad's birthday was the 24th, and Aunt Emmy flew in with Delilah and my oldest cousin Mat to spend the holidays with us. Dad really seemed to have a great day even with mum not being here to spend it with us, but he still got a gift from her. First thing in the morning a package was delivered for dad, it had to have been something she bought before everything happened. Either way he still loved the dog tags that she ordered him with their wedding date on it, he hasn't taken them off since. Plus the fact that Uncle Jeff and Grandpa Giovanni are still getting along made everything better at dinner, and Aunt Emmy made her famous Rev Velvet cake for dad which I can happily say didn't make it to the next day.
The 25th, Christmas Day, was great too; Delilah woke all of us up early and we opened our respective gifts from Santa (our parents) and our parents. After that we did what we do every year at the family get together in Kanto; the Razzo/Winters gift exchange. when we were younger we always wanted to hand the gifts out not our parents so now its kinda a tradition. Can't say it wasn't fun, even watching Delilah trying to grab the gifts away from Mat before he could hand them out, and when that was all said and done Grandpa Giovanni told me to follow him to get my gift. Once outside I was surprised to see a Houndour puppy sitting outside, hugging her dad didn't seem too thrilled with having a puppy in the house but let it slide anyways.
The week after was jam packed with spending time with everyone and catching up with the family. Mat was happily telling me how he was going to be graduating the academy this year and couldn't wait to get into the police force like Uncle Jeff, and Delilah was just happy to be getting the chance to travel with her Pokemon. I also got the chance to battle against them both and was thrilled to see how my team was still in top shape, taking them both down with little effort. Either way I was happy with my team and spending time with the family, but we are kinda packed in the house and having my room to myself again will be amazing.
New Years Eve Calem, Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno all came to Vaniville to spend time with family and celebrate the end of the year. Taking Delilah and Mat with me turned out to work in my favor as everyone was getting along really well and I got to see Calem a bit and trade gifts with each other. Neither of us got something big for each other, he got me a new feather accessory for my hat and I got him some new sunglasses after he told me how his other ones broke, still it was nice. Somehow everyone got their families together and instead of spending time with just our family it was a small block party. As the ball dropped everyone started yelling while others kissed, I took part in it to, but not how you'd expect. As the new year struck I gave my dad a small kiss and hugged him because even though Calem is my boyfriend my dad is still the most important person I have left in my life now that mom's gone.
New Years day itself was really quiet, mostly everyone was still asleep but I made sure to get up at a decent hour and called Calem to see if he wanted to spend the day together. I think dad is finally getting use to the idea of me having a boyfriend because when I told him my plans for the day he just told me to make sure we both stay safe. Which we did, we just went to Aquacorde and spent our time together at the waterfront. The quiet was a nice change from the noise level that's been a constant in our house with most of my family there, and cuddling up with Calem was a nice change of pace.
After we were discovered by Shauna and Trevor our little date broke up and after hanging out a bit we all made our way back to our own house. For the rest of the day I started training Doomy (the Houndour puppy) some basic commands to get her trained with being at home and watched some movies with Delilah and Mat later that night.
The 2nd dad and I were helping everyone pack up as Uncle Jeff, Aunt Emmy and my cousins were all heading home after spending the week with us. On the 3rd we went with them to the airport and got to say our goodbyes, it was really sad to see Uncle Jeff leave defeated since Geosenge didn't want any more work done with the crater right now, but he was definitely in better shape than when he got here. Once back home Grandpa Giovanni said he was going to stay a few more days and head back to Kanto now that he knew dad was going to be okay on his own while I travel.
Now that brings us to today, everyone has decided to head back on their journey, so I'm going to follow shortly. Just want to take the day off since this is the first day I've woke up to a quiet house since dad's birthday. So my plan for the day is to lay around with Doomy and spend time with dad and Grandpa Giovanni before I head back out tomorrow.
