Anyone else have this problem today? Weird thing is, I can still go to 17’s tag or Krillin’s tag and get results…
Must been all that pr0n that got.posted in her tag or the fact it has a number 18 in aka they might think of it as a 18+ tag? *shrugs*
Oh my god there was so much porn spam they nuked her entire tag…
yeah, it doesn’t even work on desktop o_O
You can use android18 but not android 18. Thats something atleast.
Firefly
@chestnutisland
(A/N): I always wondered why Krillin calls Marron firefly, it seems kind of a random nickname for a kid. So here is my take on it. K18 one-shot, post cell pre buu
Our Firefly
“Alright 18, we have to do it today.” Krillin said waking up and rubbing the crust from his eyes. He was ready to get up and start the day off.
“We’ve already rescheduled with Bulma twice and we are lucky she is even doing it in the first place.”
18 had just opened her eyes.
“Lucky? Isn’t she one of your best friends, she isn’t doing it to help us out?” She said half awake.
“True, but there is no need to reschedule again. We have to go hun’.” He said, shortly after he ripped the blankets off of 18. Trying to wake her up while also exposing what they were going to see Bulma for.
“Don’t you want to know if our baby is healthy?”
“Yeah, I do. You’re right we should go.” She said
18 was 4 months pregnant and her belly is becoming bigger and more defined every day.
They were surprised to say the least when the couple found out 18 had a life growing inside of her. Once the cybernetic woman starting having repeating cases of morning sickness they were curious. Many calls to Bulma and Chichi and a home pregnancy test, eventually led them to founding out the news. 18 was shocked. She had no idea she could bare a child and she was really nervous about it. Although she had no one to blame but herself. Krillin kept on saying how protection during sex was important so they didn’t have an unplanned child like this. 18 never understood his worrying when it came to that topic, she wasn’t fully human she can’t get pregnant anyways so why go through the trouble of buying pills or condoms. Well after a hand full of their unprotected adult endeavors Krillin’s warnings finally caught up to them.
First k18 ff. Read it, they are the best dbz couple btw
there are just some people uncomfortable with the idea that a girl can kiss a girl. It's not crazy to think people are uncomfortable with it. maybe if you took the time to understand how people are reacting youd know that gay people can be reasonably triggering to some people
Go suck Ellie’s Gay Machete.
Alright man i gotta question. She literally kisses a girl in the dlc, why are people talking about it now? And why are people shocked about it?
@puptriarchy ive always been wondering though now that you brought it up. Would they both have scars since they are both still part human or if their healing factor kicked in to cover it all.
i headcanon that they have some nasty scars. i don’t think gero was able to implement that sort of healing factor for quite some time; he likely had to heavily experiment on both of them to get things “right.”
I think he experimented on 1 of them more. Maybe 17 since power differences but i dont know. Im just spitballing
u might be right, but i think there was some intentional comparison of how it would affect the other twin
Actually, given it was confirmed 18 was further altered to ensure she was weaker and thus perhaps more obedient…
That being said, I’m not sure I’m completely down with the scarring as Gero did supposedly enhance their skin to make it more durable, hard to break, heal more cleanly. So I’m not sure scarring would be a thing. Especially as I’m sure he had to fut into their heads and eyes a bit…
Do you guys think they have “18” and “17” marked somewhere on their body? I know some people hc that.
Why is it that Vegeta has died just as many times as Krillin but never gets made fun of for it every time he appears?
Well you see, there’s a very good and obvious reason for that, an-
…actually no, there’s not. Huh.
Nonny sent me this too so I’ll just reblog this in answer.
It’s a reflection of how seriously the series takes both characters. Vegeta was introduced as a villain who posed a serious threat to Goku, and has maintained that edge through his transition through anti-hero to hero. At his worst, Krillin was a friendly rival to Goku who was left in the power-creep dust long before high-flying beam struggles were a thing.
The franchise has never even pretended that Krillin could kill the whole gang or take down the big bad on his own. Vegeta has been on both sides of that coin, multiple times. That’s the difference: Vegeta is taken seriously, Krillin is Goku’s little buddy.
1. That’s so untrue I can’t even begin to address it right now. 2. You’re suggesting Vegeta somehow earned this by virtue of once upon a time being a threat, ergo a guy who has gotten his ass kicked as often, died just as often, and often literally intentionally made things worse for petty personal reasons is entitled to more respect, wow. lol
Alright, NOW I’ll address it. First and foremost, this assertion that Krillin was just “Goku’s Little Buddy” is untrue. Krillin was actually introduced as Goku’s rival, someone to compete with and better himself against; Goku’s first, in fact. Up until that point, Goku never really had one, and the series readership and ratings were taking a hit because of it. When Toriyama introduced the character, he breathed new life into the series, and it steamrolled from there. So from Day 1, he’s literally the character that saved the series. He also was a legitimate rival in facing Goku, as both at the time were very near the same level of strength and skill, Goku being a bit stronger naturally, and Krillin having the more tactical mind and being shown to be quite the quick thinker on his feet. It presented an interesting dynamic between the two as they progressed, and people were interested. The next issue is context of character and why that actually should play into how their respective arcs (and deaths) are viewed, but does not. Krillin’s tale is a tragic one: having been an orphan child, he was raised in the Orin Temple by the monks, where he was actually mockingly named after the odd shape of his head. While there, he was frequently abused by teachers and students alike, and constantly made a punching bag, both metaphorical and literal. When he finally left, completely in tears, he’d vowed to prove he wasn’t worthless, that he could become strong. When he met Goku, he’d never really had a friend, and was used to having to distance himself from others, harden himself emotionally, and get as good as he got, or even before he got. That Goku was so willingly friendly with him, and never really retaliated despite the tricks he’d played on him, and it finally opened the kid’s heart and made him feel he belonged. And because of that, he not only returned to face them stronger than ever, but eventually worked his way to becoming the strongest Earthling warrior in history. Vegeta, by contrast, was a soldier in Freeza’s army, given up by his father in service to their emperor. Freeza actually treated him quite well, allowing him to rise through his ranks, take missions of his choice, command the troops of his choice, which allowed him to group with his fellow Saiyans again. But Vegeta wasn’t content serving another; he sought to rule over all, and supplant Freeza, to make him kneel before him, and immediately began plotting his murder. It wasn’t until he witnessed Freeza’s power first-hand, saw him destroy a world, that he realized he had to play nice and wait. So for a time, he reveled in the carnage until he learned of Raditz’s demise, and of the mystical Dragon Balls that could grant him immortality, that he might enjoy endless battle and face Freeza without fear of Death. One is a tragic character built around raising himself up to prove to himself and others he has worth. The other is a selfish character who seeks power and glory. When Krillin first dies, it’s a tragic and seemingly pointless death; he was killed in an ambush meant for Goku, going to get his friend’s things, so Goku could enjoy his celebratory feast. Now bear in mind, at the time, the Dragon Balls are now useless to restore him. Any death after this point will be, so far as anyone knows, permanent. Yet he still tries to further himself, he still faces enemies far stronger than him, he still puts his life on the line and gives it selflessly, again and again. When Vegeta first dies, it was of his own doing. He’d arrogantly assumed himself more than capable of facing Freeza alone, and insisted on doing just that; declared himself his superior in every way, a true Legendary Super Saiyan. And… he wasn’t. He learned very quickly that Freeza wasn’t even close to trying, that he couldn’t so much as lay a hand on him. And when he realizes he can’t, he locks up in anger, frustration, and for the first time, fear. The next deaths? Both tragic. One after the battle was supposed to be over, they were safe. He’d already nearly been killed once, taking impalement meant for the Namekian kid he’d been holding, and now he was singled out purely to punish the now fully-drained warrior for daring to attack him. His death was a painful one, the energy placed inside him expanding and growing, shredding him inside before finally breaking through and blowing him into ash and chunks of flesh and melting rubber armor. The other? The first sacrifice he himself had ever truly made, done for someone other than himself for the first time. It was a lovely narrative moment. The third time for Krillin was also a sacrifice; he charged an enemy once again far stronger than himself, someone he knew he stood no chance to beat, knowing death was 100% guaranteed, and all to try to buy everyone else a chance to escape. He knows he’s dead, he knows the Dragon Balls can’t revive him, and the Namekians aren’t likely going to just round theirs up for his sake either. But still, he does it. The third time for Vegeta was out of folly; he assumed the battle was over, and Freeza was beaten. So he took the time to deliver one more taunt to his fallen enemy, leaving him with enough time to destroy the planet, killing not only Vegeta, but the families and loved ones of all his allies in the process. One of the very things he’d just been warned about. I’m not even going to imply it’s entirely on him, but it does contrast with the warnings they’d received earlier. Now, to compare again: a constant underdog undergoes painful death vs enemies far stronger than he who he faces because he feels a responsibility to not just sit back and do nothing. vs A very powerful character seeking glory who often placed himself in trouble due to arrogance. (Which also factors into his “badass factor” as I’ll touch on in a second.) Now on that alone, one might think that… well, you’d actually have to be a tad sadistic to find one hilarious and worthy of mocking but the other altruistic and sad. But I digress. Moving on to perception, you assert Krillin was never treated as if he were anything more than “Goku’s Little Buddy”. This is also not the case, as Krillin actually found himself in a position of impressing many other characters with the strides he made in power, surpassing Yamcha, Master Roshi, Tien, and so on to actually become the strongest among the Earthlings. That’s not a small feat, and it’s actually a pretty impressive feat of progression. But he also found himself quite capable of facing and taking out enemies who were, at the time notably powerful. For example, he unleashed a blast that split into six beams, each one capable of taking out an enemy as strong as Raditz. Now at the time, Raditz had previously been ridiculously powerful, the strongest they’d ever seen. Goku and Piccolo tag teaming him just barely pulled off a win, resulting in Goku dead and Piccolo losing an arm, and even that had only been achieved via Gohan’s surprise intervention. He just fired off something capable of killing that guy six times over. And while Vegeta and Nappa were a lot stronger, even they saw fit to guard against it rather than just take it head-on. Krillin also controlled and formed the Spirit Bomb via purely verbal instruction, and managed to damage Vegeta with it immensely, his sole saving grace at that point being the others were as banged up (or more) than him. He had Vegeta at his mercy, sword at his throat, ready to put an end to him. It was only by his mercy that Vegeta was spared, as he could have opted to ignore Goku’s request. On Namek, he was one of the only three warriors to land any sort of significant damage on Freeza, the others being Goku and Piccolo. And just now, he took on two opponents that had been strong enough to give 18 trouble, one even laying her flat out on her ass despite blocking, and still won. Contrast this with Vegeta: Every kill he was seen to have as a baddie, save for Jeice, Dodoria, and Cui, was actually either done to an enemy nowhere near his level by proxy (Nappa/Saibamen) or by finishing off an enemy already beaten or weakened by someone else. Every other time he fought, we see him lose. Even after that, his last direct win is 19 and even that was vs an opponent even Goku should have been able to beat had it not been for his heart virus. The one time he really had the chance to kill the big bad, to really be the solo victor, was vs Cell, and there he literally gave that up for the sake of his own pride. He let his arrogance steal that W from him and turn it into an L. To me, that’s far, far more embarrassing than losing to an opponent you frankly already know you likely can’t beat. So no, i don’t think it’s at all about how the series itself presents them or treats them, especially not Toriyama’s manga series. It’s about the shallow things. It’s about who “looks” cooler. It’s about one being your stereotypical “Anime Antihero Badass” (which is actually a trope Vegeta’s an unintentional deconstruction of) and the other being a funny-looking guy. It’s that the fandom seems to think one of them’s just had this cheery life as “Goku’s buddy” despite years of self-doubt, abuse, and sacrifice, and the other being the one seen as tragic, having been forced to be evil by Freeza, having been a victim who refused to lose his pride, which is spun as an admirable trait. It’s because this fandom does some of the most ridiculous-yet-impressive mental gymnastics I’ve ever seen to confirm their biases.
Wait vegeta died three times?
How's 18 gonna react learning Krillin's such a virgin that he already died as one? Twice.
