OMGCP AU where both Guy and Georgia are very much queer and have partners that they keep lowkey for professional reasons. Back in the day, they were both each other’s beards for a long while after they made eye contact in a gay bar literally 2 hours after meeting formally.

They mainly did it because Guy was dating a dude named George at the time and it reduced slip-ups, and Georgia was a lesbian who was like “This guy’s named Guy who looks like the opposite of a lesbian.” By the time of the comic, people still rib about them being “old flames” when they both side-eye each other.

The problems occur after Jack comes out to the team, and Guy and Georgia both try to show him solidarity and stuff. Except, neither Jack nor Bitty notice that Guy and Georgia are both queer. Even worse? Jack still thinks he’s the only queer person on the team.

For Georgia, she keeps her relationship with her wife (Dani, that one hockey reporter) on the down low, but she’s fairly open with who she tells as long as they aren’t a dick.

So when Jack tells her that he’s dating teammate, she’s sort of tries to talk about “my friend Dani” around Jack to let him know he’s not alone here.

Problem? Jack just. Doesn’t get it. Jack will see Georgia talk about her wife for WEEKS but then comes up to her and be like “How’s your friend Dani doing?” Completely seriously.

Georgia doesn’t know what to think. She hopes that Guy has more luck.

The thing is? Guy is pretty okay with telling people he trusts about him and his husband, but he’s just generally very chill about it. He never really *says* it but people kind of know.

Jack though…Jack just *doesn’t* get any of the vibes.

Guy talks about his “friend who lives with him” and “we’ve been together for years” and Jack just nods and is like Yeah. Friendship.

Guy literally has his boyfriend/husband come for Family Skate and Jack is like “HA ha it’s good you two are such good friends”

Georgia and Guy meet up at the end of each week and just despair at Jacks main character syndrome
