The sigh and expression were evidence enough to know Leopold’s disapproval in the matter. Just briefly, the fae turned from Taurus needing a moment to recollect himself. Any other person, he would have shrugged it off and merely went on with his life. Yet, just the thought of the wolf sent shivers down his spine. Absolutely unacceptable, but here they were.
At Taurus’ words, Leopold could understand. Growing up on a small isle of faes, he longed for adventure and did not want to be tethered there. But, if he had a child things would be different. Or at least, he was telling himself that. However, Leopold knew his own selfish heart and supposed it would be cruel to subject Taurus to any judgment when he most likely would have done the same thing if he was in that situation.
“Why don’t you mention her?” He asked genuinely curious, trying to understand the handsome man before him. Taurus felt like a mystery. A riddle he must solve.
“Understandable, it would muddy things up with a lot of people.” Not him, he actually adored children. It was adults he could hardly stand.
Though Leo thought he would not muddy things up because he liked children, the potential of someone disliking his daughter was not his concern. Taurus did not mean to imply he was more open to being committed than he was by talking about anything serious. He tended to avoid topics that even held interest to him if he felt that it would make someone think he cared for them more than was enough for a few intimate moments.
For Leo to say 'a lot of people,' for this reason, implied to Taurus he was not the type of person to become attached through deeper conversations. A relief, for the moment, from the misunderstanding. "People seem to think knowing things about you mean you owe them things," he said with belief they were communicating the same information. "Potentially why you never quite mentioned much about yourself on our first meeting?" Taurus asked.
