Still thinking about the notion of how the stan twins would be and the subtext and implications of his rejection by an ivy league and he always needing to work twice as hard for anything... stan and his struggles with feeling like he can't keep up with ford in school, his eventual experience of homelessness and struggle getting by at all...

It works so well with the themes already present in the story and really makes them even more powerful.

Remember how in Yellowfang's Secret they had a plot point about a cat who was forced to have a litter she didn't want and every time she tried to get some support or sympathy from others she was met with complete dismissal because 'what kind of woman doesn't want to be a mother'? I do.

Really experimental piece, I've never done any sort of collage thing like this! Lizardstripe, the border swirls, and the 'cherubs' drawn by me, all the cutout pieces come from Mother's Day/baby shower cards or free-to-use PNG tumblr blogs. Black and white text is a direct quote from her in YS.

I don't blame Lizardstripe for anything involving Brokenstar to be honest, if you literally force someone to adopt your kid then it's not on them at that point if they abuse your kid it's on you. Also iirc the worst she got towards Brokenkit in Yellowfang's Secret was her maybe saying to a different warrior that she didn't like him while not intending for him to hear it. Also the way the narrative treats her as evil for not wanting kits and Hollyflower acts like kits should be her highest calling as a she-cat and Yellowfang specifically worries about leaving Brokenkit with her because she's ambitious is not great and I like her out of spite. Why is it okay for Raggedpelt to be ambitious but not her, Yellowfang?

Yellowfang's Secret is a garbage book, but it is a fantastic litmus test(as much as I hate them) to see if you've lowkey bought into Warrior Cats' brand of mysoginy or not.

If you come out of that book hating Foxheart and Lizardstripe with all your heart, congratulations! You failed. Back to the start. Don't pick up $200. In fact, you should pay me for having to read your take.
