...so i have just spent the last little while reading all the letters i was given by everyone today and as i was going through them i realized- there were more individual letters today than hate messages i've received online. sure there are very loud and consistent accounts on different platforms but i've blocked all the ones that slipped their way into my attention.

so i'm done acknowledging any negativity. there's no avoiding hate, which is something i don't understand but will come to terms with.

and will only focus on how beautiful and caring the majority has been.

not mentally ready for germany. i've avoided in-person hate thus far and feel very lucky about that. hoping my luck continues. talked to some of the other castmates from ST about different death threats they have received over the years from fans of the show so i've been prepped on the possibility but the fact that the bullying can go that far? these people don't know me. they think they've figured my life out but they're so wrong and i find the behavior so disgusting.

I have about 5 cons lined up for the rest of the year though (my work schedule allowing) so I'm not going anywhere. 🤍 thank you for the support and love, the ratio is humungous and i am so overwhelmed ❤️‍🔥

I would take it with a grain of salt. This person is an anti-eddissy, so they very well could be lying.

Also, we have no idea what the question was, if it was real. Joe saying this contradicts everything he has said in the past. I honestly cannot see Joe saying that sentence. Remember, we have no context.

Edit: I also realized that Joe could be saying it would be a “weird” relationship in the sense of how they’re complete opposites. He has talked about the exploration of the American high school archetypes with Eddie and Chrissy, and this may be what he is referring to when he says “weird”. We don’t know the tone at all, and like I said before, the context. It could very well be in a joking manner, and not negative at all. The antis will twist it any horrible way they want, because I still think they’re lying about it all in general.

It’s honestly just the steddie shippers wanting a war, and wanting Joe to be on “their” side. When in reality, what the actor thinks, doesn’t really matter (y’all I’m a bellarke, so if anyone knows the “bellarke shit” era, you get what I mean). Yes, it’s nice when an actor is supportive of a ship, but their input on something should have no impact on whether you ship it, or not. It is their job, and they are being paid. Shipping is about the fictional character they portray. Although, Joe seems very sweet, and I think he would definitely try to be kind to everyone.

In the end, I hope Steve and Eddie shippers realize that they shouldn’t let such trivial things impact their life and what they ship. They want to be validated, but only at the cost of putting down others. This isn’t a competition. Ship and let ship. I stay in my lane, you stay in yours. I’m just so sick of people being mean and lying.

To all eddissy/hellcheer shippers: you are valid.

Shipping is about what appeals to you, what you like and notice within media, and what you make of it/do with it. Now, let’s keep shipping our lovely cheerleader and metal head to our hearts content!

You know what's the saddest part about Chrissy and Eddie dying? That they never got to interact with Murray. The man that made Jancy happen. The man that knocked some sense into Jopper, regarding their obvious sexual tension. The man that would take a look at them and be like "Alright, you two, listen carefully.
