That moment.
Drastic chaos may overcome me.
Ang-zotic breath pounding. Wait.
Then calm.

Every time I hear that song "little boxes" it reminds me of my childhood home. It was one of those, pretty as a thing could be. Although the driveway was gravel back then, and these trees were like twigs. Every time I see Tom Hanks in "Big" or the opening of a movie on middle America, in the late 60s, I think "yeah, I know that place, I lived it".
This is me in that window with people I don't know. I still like the color red. It's so weird that so many movies portray these times. Everyone looked so ordinarily odd.
I remember waiting in that window, watching for my dad to come home. Elbows on the white window sill, my pinky fingers clinched between my teeth, the sensation of pain when I finally opened my mouth. My flattened finger nails. -- I would never do that now.
Summer days, doing silly things. I decided falling off a motor cycle is a stupid idea, only after it happened.
Maybe our mother dressed me in red so she could find me. I still like to stop and look at things... randomly.
Art directors take note, it's not just the cloths and hair snafu, it really was that washed-out color. Everything sweltered under the summer heat.
This was our little box, back then. Home... in middle America. To this day... my favorite sound in the whole world is the crunching of gravel under my feet. This box is the reason. It's the sound of being home.

Words mean so much. So pay attention!
A historical moment
Frogs in suits rule!
I thought this was pretty funny. Found on Bored Panda.
Words can mean so much, yum.
Screenwriter's group, shop talking, never stop talking... except to write. And then, they talk to themselves of course.
The Screenwriter’s Mantra…
Write ONLY What you SEE AND [OR] HEAR [on film] Right NOW, - Blow by Blow - as it happens, in the present. Anything else is filler-fluff meant for prose, poetry or novels. Think SCANT, but MEANINGFUL “with Economy” when you write. Print this out and plaster it to anything and everything near your writing space. This is not about you, it's about the story you are telling with sounds and images! That's it.

Norman: Coraline, what are you listening to?
Coraline: A relaxation tape. The rain is supposed to relax me
Norman: Is it working?
Coraline: Not really. I keep worrying that I left my car windows down
I was surprised, how much I liked Coraline. I watched with my 7 year old niece. Strange attractions... Short stories jog my memory.
Now this is funny. Health drink spoof. My friend Bob made this. Cheeky fellow! Old Western! Watch it!
Why aren’t westerns like this?
My friend Bob made this for fun. Turned out pretty funny!
Story arc, it's just that simple. Find it here https://youtu.be/wbxVUOefs4c It's for novels, but it's the same in screenwriting. Play by the rules before you break them. Writey-Oh
Don’t try, write.
Don’t try, write. Well said!

Fidelity. A virtue peculiar to those who are about to be betrayed. -- Ambrose Bierce 1842-1914
Everything he says, with the exception of all the "ings" applies to writing for the screen. It's just that simple. #screenwriting #frogseyeview Don't spoon feed your audience. Screenwriting economy: -- ONLY what you CAN SEE and HEAR darlings. The rest is for the guillotine. Kill it. Tazzeltop's street cred: Writer, publisher, TV producer and it that weren't enough... serves on the board of directors of a TV station. Here and there I do a little voice acting side hustle. Every time you hear a croak or a rib-bit, it's me. Now re-read this post with a French accent, and you'll make me hop for joy!
