OSHA ANISEYA | 1.08 of THE ACOLYTE
Deleting my dating apps because I want to meet someone the old-fashioned way. (I'm arrested for a murder I didn't commit, and then it turns out it was committed by my twin sister who I thought died sixteen years ago. So then I go with my old teacher/father-figure and his co-worker/my old friend and his new student to try to prove my sister poisoned a second murder victim, and to do so I have to talk to this apothecary shop owner and he's really weird. Then I end up in this huge forest looking for my sister and some other guy with a helmet shows up and kills almost everyone I'm with only it turns out he's the guy from the apothecary shop. My sister knocks me unconcious and then I wake up in a cave and there's soup cooking and I go outside to figure out where I am, and there's that guy again so I follow him and he literally strips naked—)

Known / Unspoken (1k)
Qimir's spoon clinked against his bowl. "There is any easy fix to that."
"How?"
His dark eyes watched her, and now it was his turn to shrug. "Ask me."
"Ask you what?" Osha asked, spinning his words like he often did hers.
"Ask me how I'm feeling."
Read on ao3: Osha thinks it's unfair.

Determined to make amends for ruining her sister’s life, newly licensed psychiatrist Osha Aniseya takes a job at Coruscant Correctional Institute. There she expects to encounter wary inmates, harassment, and the harsh realities of the justice system.
What she doesn’t anticipate is Qimir Stranger, the prisoner who turns her world upside down. He unsettles her, throws her off-balance, makes it impossible to treat him as just another patient.
Oh, and there's the fact he's an alleged murderer.
Can she withstand his obsession? Can she overcome her own?

That one art trend/ study but made it Osha!!🥰
I often think about Osha and the criticism lobbed against her by people who didn't like The Acolyte. "She isn't interesting." or "She's poorly written." or "She's boring." Well, I think her story is more interesting than people would give her credit for. Osha's story is one of a young person who has had her destiny and choices interferred with her entire life. As a child, she wanted to be a Jedi and dreamed of the galaxy outside of Brendok. Not a bad dream but I feel like Mother Anniseya knew the Jedi were not all they were cracked up to be and that life off of Brendok would be hard for Osha. But it was Osha's chosen path with consequnces she would have to learn for herself. But while Anniseya stepped aside so that Osha could go forth, Mae interferred, she tried to stop Osha, she started the fire that destroyed their home. This in turn lit the flame of guilt that Osha carried with her into the Jedi order. From there, Osha would live a life in the shadows, supressing her feelings of shame and anger. When I saw episode 8 for the first time, I half expected Mae or Qimir to step in at the last minute and stop Osha from Killing Sol. But they don't. I think becasue, by then, both Mae and Qimir understood that the true root of Osha's pain was the result of her actions being interferred with by others. So, they both decided that whatever happened next, it had to be Osha's choice alone. Osha joining the dark side might be viewed as a tragedy by some but I find it empowering. Whatever happens from now on will be her choice and her choice alone. She's finally free. If that is not a compelling story then I don't know what is.
Osha learned fast that she will always have her cuts and bruises tended to first, because Qimir will not allow the reverse. She has found, however, that once he's seen to her, it doesn't take much to keep him still. He's quite content to have various parts of her draped over him while she unceremoniously smears him with bacta.

part of the Oshamir Summer Solstice Gift Exchange, for Jeymien! Hope you enjoy. :) The prompt I chose was "Qimir being love's bitch (a la Spuffy)" and this felt very That, to me.
I posted this after ep 7 when we got no oshamir. This was what they were doing while sol was yapping
