one of the silliest plot points in ii is when marshmallow buys a time machine from walmart. walmart, which just. exists in this universe. not even an offbrand walmart. literally just walmart, presumably identical to the one in our own universe, except that they sell time machines. at walmart. walmart.

also time machines exist, and apparently this doesn't have terrible consequences for the world at large, especially when your average cup of joe could just stroll into walmart and buy one at any time.

who even invented the time machine? why can you buy one at walmart, as opposed to it being a military secret, or locked up somewhere? how come test tube makes one of her own instead of buying one? just to prove that she can? also what about the entire plot of s2ep12? that's a "hole ripped in the depths of time itself," right? how come that hasn't happened before?

or has it? has the world of inanimate insanity gone through multiple timeline changes, all from different people, who got it all from walmart? what if walmart did this on purpose? what if they had a monopoly on time machines? is this why they exist, in ii's world, when other companies do not? maybe they control the timeline. maybe inanimate insanity just lives in it.
