Chel:

His best physical feature... Do you mean his looks? Because he's a very dapper gent.

She pauses for a moment, glancing back to her husband and taking a moment, smiling at the face he's giving her.

I'll go with his eyes. He covers about 80% of his face, but he's still one of the most expressive men I've ever had the pleasure of spending my days with.

Kakashi:

As Chel was giving her answer, he covered the remaining 20% of his face with his favorite teal book.

Suisei, have you ever gotten lost in the forest?

Oh my god, getting lost in the forest is my favorite thing EVER! Sometimes, you need to just put some music in and run through the trees, unplug from anything else. Really, I can't recommend Shirin Yoku highly enough. You know how runners will tell you that there's a high kind of feeling after a really good session? First of all- running on a track is the actual worst. All that effort and you've gone nowhere. If that's all you are after, treadmill is just as good and I could be in the air conditioning.

But to go out into the woods and let Mother Konoha reclaim me? It's not just leaping from branch to branch, point A to point B. It's about running along the wet stones of the creek and feeling water splash onto my legs. It's about noticing that forming beaver dam in every stage of development. It's especially about finding new patches I've not yet gone over with a fine toothed comb looking for mushrooms and mountain vegetables. I get lost in the forest as often as I can.

As Kuromaru pulled out a tool, Kibe-sensei held up his hand, pausing the spar with a headshake and a laugh that was mostly due to discomfort. “Aw come on, what the hell is that? Are those human teeth, Kuromaru? ” the  ninken Officer groaned, slapping a palm to his face and leaning his head back. 

 "What are you, a cop?“ Kuromaru hummed, admiring the Kafkaesque metal knuckles. "Isn’t is the most terrible thing you’ve ever seen, Sir? I can stab holes and punch-bite!” He continued, breaking into a slow, private cackle. 

 "Come on, I’m a jonin and I still dont make enough to deal with some of your ‘haute coture’ nightmares.“ 

“Art.” Kuromaru corrected.

“Right.” Kiba-sensei rulled his shoulder and waved his other hand. "I think I’ve seen art enough for today. Good hustle, keep your opponent on their toes.  Please put it away so we can go eat.”

Kuromaru, what's your favorite thing about living in Konoha?

Hello, thank you for your ask. I saw it last night and spent some time considering what would take the top spot. There are lots of things about this village that I really enjoy and a part of me wants to say that it's my new friends.

But anyone could guess that I'd like my friends. You can make friends in any village.

My favorite part about Konoha is all the green. Shout out to the guy who named it, there really are leaves everywhere. No matter where you look, things are alive and flourishing. Suisei can pull food out of nowhere here and Jade has showed me so many more bugs then I ever knew a place could have.

The desert is beautiful, but she is still. Slow and deadly.

Konoha is very different, but good different.

I wonder if both places can be my home?

Psst, Chel, so... does Kakashi ever sleep in the nude? Or at least, mask and nothing else?

Let me start by saying that Ka is always dressed for the occasion and sometimes the occasion calls for us in matching birthday suits.

If you're fishing for details, I'll at least tell you that his mask does tend to remain. It's more like part of his personal identity and less like an article of clothing to discard during adult extracurricular.

However, we do also have a child who does get saddled with the occasional bad dream and he'll crawl into bed with us. Normal late evening wear are things like jinbei and Suisei has a few costume pajamas that still fit. Oh! We had this one that he just grew out of that looked like the village uniform, they were both so bummed when it was time to give it up. I think they like to match, really.

Suisei, what's the most interesting thing you ever found in the woods while foraging? (Food-wise or non-food)

I feel like this is a good time to talk about the hairy situation with the missing-nin BUT I LIKE MUSHROOM CHAT.

So, last time Uncle Tenzo came out to camp with me, we spent some time looking for this really cool stuff called chicken of the woods. (different from hen of the woods, which is also good eating)

They were these orange slices pressed up tight to each other against the base of an oak tree. The one we found was really big, so we only took a few pieces cut from the big portion. They felt like velvet and raw, didnt taste lilk much. But after he cooked them up, it tasted just like chicken! The 11 herbs and spices he brought along to go with it made it really good, too.

Kakashi, do you prefer tea or coffee?

Coffee makes me too jittery. I prefer tea.

Also, with Suisei getting so heavy into foraging, there's been plenty of fresh Bee Balm and Raspberry Leaf in the kitchen specifically for making tea with. It's been nice, he sets them up in vases by the windowsill.

Jade, do you name all of your insects? Or only your favorites?

That's an interesting question, thank you for asking about them.

In the same way you may know a stray cat who you have seen eating kibble from your neighbors porch, even if there is no proper name, you know that animal.

My babies live inside me, so I often think of them as a part of myself, as well. Each and every one of them is ' Jade ' but they are still individuals, too. Grampy says that even an insect has a half soul, so even if I don't have a verbal name to call them by, my heart knows them all apart.

Kakashi, what's it like to have a son that's both adorable and a gremlin?

Kakashi:

I don't give him baths, try to keep him away from any and all light and bedtime is 11:30, so there is no eating past midnight.
