I feel like there is a big misunderstanding about asexuality that even some asexuals fail to understand:
Sexual Attraction ≠ Libido
Sexual attraction, from what I've researched (as I am asexual so I've never actually felt it myself), is looking at someone and thinking I want sex with them. It is the attraction.
Libido is the sex drive or appetite for sexual activity.
The best way I've heard it put is:
Libido is like feeling hungry,
Sexual attraction is like having a craving for a specific dish.
You can still have a libido/sex drive and be asexual, as asexuality is the lack of the sexual attraction.
