Little life advice:

Everyone who says not to set your stove clock or microwave clock because you won't use them and don't look at them anyway is lying.

Set them.

Because sometimes, you will come come from a week away when no one was in your home, and see the stove and microwave clocks blinking and go, "Oh shit, the power went out while I was gone, even though it's clearly back, which means every single thing in my fridge and freezer might have gotten room temperature and refrozen, and will give me food poisoning."

And it will be the only indication whatsoever not to eat it.

Anyway, just got back from the grocery store, but at least I don't have botulism.

I know this is a 'better safe than sorry' kind of scenario, but if you like me live in a place where power often goes off for a few minutes due to power grid failures in summer with all the A/C units going in the neighborhood, it's not going to help.

Put a glass full of water in the freezer. I use a shot glass to save space. Once the water is frozen, put a coin on top.

If when you're back the coin is under the ice, you know your shit has defrosted and should be thrown out.

My experience carrying a stuffed animal with me at school every day

Wrapping up my first semester where I decided to be brave and carry a plushie with me, and figured I’d share my experience for anyone who wants to bring their plushies but may be nervous. I carried a small to medium cat plush in my hands and placed them on my desk every day.

I can safely say my experience has been nothing but positive!

- No one ridiculed or treated me unkind for it, any questions were posed with respect. I worried people wouldn’t take me seriously, but it’s not a problem I encountered.

- I made friends more easily and people asked me questions about my plush (name,brand,etc) quite often and seemed interested in my answers.

- None of my professors made any rude comments or told me to put them away. One asked if my plush was a recording device and why I had her but didn’t push further when I replied no, she’s just here because she makes me happy.

- Some professors made jokes, one pretended to punch my cat plush because he “doesn’t like cats” and another told me not to bring a black cat because it reminds him of a past cat he had and disliked. Nothing serious it was all in good fun from professors who frequently joked with other students as well.

- It made me very happy and comforted to have a plushie friend with me!! That alone makes it worth it.

I’m a fourth year college student, if you are in high school your experience may vary as you could face teasing from peers as I had before, but remember the world is so much kinder <3

trash appears in the park every 5 minutes - usually, the more pets in the park, the more trash appears

when playing cash cow 2, you want to keep the chocolate milk bottle on the screen! do not try and get rid of it. I didn't know this until I was like 18 lmao cause I never read instructions

when playing zingoz switcherooz, it's super risky and usually doesn't pay off to make a gap in your block of zingoz - even if it's the only move you have (I tried to illustrate this below). it may give you more zingoz for that move, but it's going to leave a hole where your opponent can switch all the zingoz you just got back over to their color. that said, if your opponent makes a gap, take that spot immediately

no, you're not going insane if you're playing checkers in the tournament arena and your opponent's checker moves onto a spot where there's already a checker - this is a glitch and has been glitching forever

another common glitch is text speech not working in the kinzchat+ clubhouse when trading - you may have to exit the trade or even the clubhouse and come back to it

some of the higher level classes in the kinzville academy get insanely hard - for classes like grooming or style, take screenshots or pictures with your phone so you have a reference picture

you can also take pictures for some employment office jobs! I usually screenshot where the gems are for the gem mining job because I swear it doesn't give you enough time otherwise

if you need more time when doing the kinzville mover job, you can hit the 'x' to quit, which brings up a pop up box. you can then still move the boxes behind the pop up!

when a deluxe membership only game is game of the day, anyone can play it - you don't have to be deluxe!

when your pet's hunger meter is full (i.e., when they are full/not hungry) you can feed foods to your pet and the food will not disappear but it will count toward quests that are like "feed your pet 5 hot chocolates"

Old trick from webkinz insider (rip😔🙏) the jelly bean contest can be determined by percentage analysis and binary search. Ever y jar contains a max of 10,000 beans. Therefore, if a jar is halfway full (50%), then there is around 5,000 beans inside. You first figure out the percentage of beans, Each jar image goes up in increments of 50, ranging from 1,000 to 10,000. For example a jar with almost no beans will contain between 1,000-1049 beans. There are still pictures guides up, so you can match the game image to a guide, so you don’t waste your first guess. You would then use your three guesses to pick between these 50 numbers. Unfortunately the “oooh that was close” hints do not help when your guess is within 200 beans
