What happens if you do whatever you want to do?

Recently, Elon Musk bought Twitter and made many changes such as firing many people, making people ask to quit and some changes to the website such as making the verified blue mark available to anyone.

Now , any person can have the verified mark if they pay an amount for that.

The problem is anyone can open an account with a company or personality name that they will have the verified mark and people will trust in that profile thinking that their are a real company or person this can bring it of damage for their credibility!

In the end, when you want to change anything in your company, you need to think about the problems that can bring in the future!

Is Metaverse a trend?

I don’t know you but I am not really into to be part of this universe! I mean if mix reality and virtual world should be ok! But I don’t want be stuck at home living a virtual life.

A mix of words could be positive since virtual life integrate to our lives as extra , an option not a mandatory thing!

A few weeks ago, Instagram and other social media were invaded by a wave of avatar pictures made by AI.

Wonderful and surreal images of ourselves in different scenarios, an imaginary version of us.

It’s just a trend!

Not really! But it’s an app that reads our faces and can reproduce our image and more, they have our faces rights.

Front End, Back End or Full Stack Developer? </>

Do you know the difference between them?

Everything that the customer/client sees, such as logo, bottoms, layouts, and everything that interacts with customers are made by Front end Developers. They also build responsive designs to look good on all types of devices ( computer screens, smartphones, watches)... Front End developers work with HTML, CSS and Javascript among other technologies and tools.

On the other hand, who works as Back End Developer, creates servers and works with a database. Then, all the information the user submits at the website/app is processed in the side server ( back end). They use databases such as SQL, MySQL and others.

Finally, Full Stack is the person who works with both the front and back end.

Sci-fi vs Reality

Have you ever watched Black Mirror?

According to IMDb, Black Mirror is an anthology series exploring a twisted, high-tech multiverse where humanity's greatest innovations and darkest instincts collide.

There is a new story for each episode, then do not expect a happy end, every story make us reflect on how technology can modify our lives in a good or bad way.

My two favorite episodes are Nosedive and SanJunipero.

Before starting my master's, I already believed that some of that technology could happen in real life, and now after reading some papers and articles, I can see how AR, VR, and AI are present in our lives, getting more and more space in our activities.

Networking and Tech

Last week, I volunteered in a Marketing Bootcamp for the Brazilian community.

There, we had several workshops such as WordPress, Curriculum and Interview preparation, Google Ads, Google Analytics and LinkedIn Tips. It was a great moment to share knowledge and learn new things.

We also had a pre-event online during the week, where professionals talked about Mental Health (what is really important for immigrants that left their countries looking for a career opportunity), Career and professional development and tips from a Hiring Manager.

Being part of a Brazilian Community for Marketing in Ireland is essential to networking, sharing job opportunities, exchanging experience and helping people with information, that why I become a community member!

Well, well... We are in the same boat!

Let me update you about my class! After 3 weeks of studying Html, finally, we gonna give some colours and shapes to our work, BUT it is a lot of association and logic that we need to think about, which got me a bit confused. I am trying don't panic, after all, we just saw a CSS overview, hahaha...

First impressions of web authoring class

Two weeks ago, I started my MSc in Interactive Digital Media, such a new world for me but it’s also an environment that I was always be connected with !

This semester I’m studying web authoring among others classes, that one is a little bit tricky if you don’t pay attention to the details, however everything looks great in the end,that means, the job was done! 😅
