(click for full view) This is super late but I don’t care, I am absolutely over the moon with happiness with the confirmation of Jughead Jones’ asexuality, I’m going to go on a huge corny ramble below the cut because holy Christ Almighty does this mean a lot to me…

Representing Asexuality is such a hard thing. At the same time that Archie comics making Jughead Jones asexual is awesome because "Look, asexuality in media" it bares the problem that with such little representation that even the slightest offput represents the entire sexuality all wrong.
Based off the comic in which they reveal it, he's not interested in anyone, at all. This is said directly, "Because he's Asexual." Nope, stop, please halt, wait, plz.
Asexuality is about a lack of sexual attraction and nothing else. I can still not relate much to the character, because he's being portrayed as Asexual Aromatnic from how they wrote him, and they are confusing the "Aromantc" with "Asexual" in the way they define it. I am VERY distracted by my desire for a romantic relationship. I literally think about it almost every waking moment and many of my sleeping ones too. I'm the drop my life and move acrossed the country with someone because I felt a spark and they said they wanted me to come with kind of guy. I literally run a blog called "Will Work For Cuddles" and I purchased the domain WillWorkForCuddles.com to direct to it because how obsessed I am with cuddles and the idea of an ooey gooey relationship. I'm also Asexual.
It's not that they are wrong to use the term. It's not that it's really even a problem that they poorly addressed what seems to be "Aromantic" and instead used "Asexual." The problem is that with so little representation, that you carry a heavy burden when you introduce representation into your media. You need to be well read on the topic, and very careful about how you play it, or you could be enforcing more negative stereotypes and miseducating people.

can you be ace in your opinion if you have sex w/o being sexually attracted to them??? My thoughts are that straight people have sex with people they aren't sexually attracted to all the time just because they wanted to get laid. your thoughts? How do you explain this without it sounding like an oxymoron???? asexual that has sex sometimes?
This is already a thing that people have started to figure out. I’m going to copy the content below. Here’s the post x:
“Sex-Positive: Approving of sex in general, for all people. The belief that sex is good as long as it’s safe and consensual.
Sex-Favorable: Desiring sex for yourself.
Sex-Neutral: Having no opinion toward sex in general, for all people.
Sex-Indifferent: Neither actively wanting sex for yourself, but not being against the idea of having it.
Sex-Negative: Believing that all sex is bad or inherently wrong in general, for all people.
Sex-Averse/Repulsed: Not enjoying or desiring sex for yourself.“
The thing about the above definitions is that ANY ORIENTATION CAN EXPERIENCE ANY OF THEM. None of these experiences are strictly limited to asexuality.
An Asexual who has sex sometimes already has a label: Asexual.

Do you happen to know how to code ios apps?
Yes and no. I don’t personally care for iOS and so I’ve never branched into it. New languages often are not terribly hard to pick up with a bit of discipline, but I’ve never bothered to learn iOS specific programming.
