I barely notice all of my medical ailments any more – the back pain from the beatings I have taken, the rheumatism from the frigid air conditioning, the asthma exacerbated by the toxic sprays they use to abuse us. There is an endless list. And now 24/7, as the Americans say, I have the ache of hunger…I hope I do not die in this awful place. I want to hug my children and watch them as they grow. But if it is God’s will that I should die here, I want to die with dignity. I hope, if the worst comes to the worst, that my children will understand that I cared for the rights of those suffering around me almost as much as I care for them.

More than half of the remaining detainees at Guantánamo Bay are now on a hunger strike, US military officials confirmed Sunday. Double the figures released previously. Amongst those refusing food is Shaker Aamer, who has spent 11 years at Guantánamo. He remains behind bars despite being cleared for release six years ago. Documentaries That Will Change the Way You View Your World Forever

Most people want to know what is going on in our world. Most people watch the news trying to learn what goes on, but in the end all they're doing is fooling themselves. The biggest problem is, the news is 100% corporately owned and operated by the exact same corporations that have put us in this mess. Do you really think the news

 is going to tell the truth about things like 'the war on terror' when their largest sponsors are corporations like Halliburton who's entire existence depends on keeping the lies going? Of course not. Fact of the matter is, there are only FIVE major corporations control EVERYTHING you see and hear on TV, the radio and in mainstream newspapers. 5! In the 70's and 80's there were over a hundred! The elite have bought out or consolidated ALL those corporations so they can easily control the flow of information. The only place you will get PROVEN FACTS, TODAY, is either on the internet, or in books. I admit you have to sort through all the info and do thorough research to make sure its legitimate facts, but you at least have the POSSIBILITY of learning the truth when you get your information online. On TV, you get almost ZERO factual information. Its all speculation, hearsay and blatant lies. All of which could easily be disproved if people even bothered to look it up themselves.. So, that is why I believe 'word of mouth' over networking sites such as this, is more important than ever. The truth is out there! It's just taking a while to circulate because the only people willing to stand up for the truth, are people like you and me. So, keep an open mind about what you hear, never doubt something just because it sounds far-fetched, and ALWAYS dig deeper to uncover the truth. Remember!
