I guess it's about time I made a pinned post. Just some general info and fandom specific stuff I think people should know. Under the cut cause it's kinda long

General

This is a sideblog for Gravity Falls. My main is @tedret, though I'm more active here

I'm slowly figuring name stuff out right now, so thera-prism or tedret and any nicknames you can make from them are fine for now

I don't really care about pronouns as long as they're not the gendered ones, so they/them, it/its, and any neos are fine

(btw, relating to those two, if you ever talk about me, PLEASE let me know. Tag me, send an ask, etc. I don't care, I just wanna know, I'm curious)

I'm not a native english speaker, so some of my sentences are probably gonna be weirdly worded or structured

I'm aroace, agender, probably also aplatonic and loveless. Very tentatively alterhuman

I draw! I try to put image descriptions in alt text on all my art, but if you notice anything wrong with it (missing, typos, just not a good description), please let me know so i can fix it. Also, if you want to request I draw something, feel free to. Only Gravity Falls related stuff on this blog, though

Some additions specific for this blog:

All the general stuff is true for this blog. Besides the art thing, I don't post that here. Though, as I said in the original post, you can request something for me to draw if you want. Can't guarantee anything will actually be drawn, but y'know

I mostly reblog things (this functions a little like an archive for me tbh) but I sometimes also post random, more personal things. All of that is under either the tag mine or the tag tedret's being too personal

One tag I use often is literature/characters/tropes, more or less self-explanatory

There's some fandom stuff here too, though not a lot if I remember right

This blog is a lot less organised than my sideblog, mostly because I made this a couple months off four years ago and I didn't start it organised so if I tried to organise it now, I would have to go through over two thousand posts, and I'm too lazy for that right now. Maybe I'll get the motivation someday, I don't know

Again, I'll probably edit this more when something comes to mind

The key to writing good fanfiction is to harbor a deeply humiliating desire, and the trick there is that even pretty basic and societally-accepted desires like “being held” and “being wanted” CAN and WILL be humiliating if they’re intense enough. Become so estranged from human connection that the idea of someone playing with your hair fills you with yearning so deep you feel like you’re going to throw up and you will write some banger fanfiction. It might have some other consequences too but idrk about that.

My cat was laying on the rug in my room and I made room on my bed and patted it, not expecting him to actually come, but he DID.

My exams were a few months ago and for like, awhile after I just could not eat anything with chocolate without feeling sick cause they would just give us a whole chocolate bar and a bottle of (sparkly) water for the entire 3-4 hours.

After the first exam I brought sandwiches and normal water and I would still feel sick halfway through. (Though that was probably because I don't eat breakfast)

I have absolutely no idea where to go after chapter 5 of Survival (that's what I get for posting Survival before I had even a vague outline longer than those five chapters) and the writing insecurity/feeling like I've bitten off more than I can chew with this story is hitting me hard the past few days

I was watching one of my favourite youtubers play meccha chameleon (basically paint hide and seek) when they picked a new map and he was the seeker. I noticed some of the gf cast appear in the pre-round/seeker room and then he just fucking. started painting Bill on his character. Yet again jumpscared by the triangle when I wasn't expecting him
