People might bring up Vincent van Gogh as an example of a painter who did great work in spite of, or because of, his suffering. I like to think that van Gogh would have been even more prolific and even greater if he wasn't so restricted by the things tormenting him. I don't think it was pain that made him so great, I think painting brought him whatever happiness he had.
—David Lynch
I love your art, especially how you stylize characters. Also like your characters are always so fluid and the faces. The faces are so pretty and individualized. The colors also. I love your shading also, absolutely gorgeous. I remember seeing your post with Starfire (so pretty as with all of your art) and I was wondering if you'd do the other Titans like best boy and raven? I hope you have a great day and awesome art again !!
aaa omg thank you so much!!!
it was my favorite show growing up ;0; but i would love to draw the other titans someday
what a cute smile hehehe
Finally finished this piece after months of reworking. Far from perfect, but I’m glad it’s done. Inspired by the amazing Bruno Redondo, Dan Mora, and especially Dexter Soy.
Part of the difficulty in getting exercise when you have adhd is just remembering to do it so I’ve developed a solution I like to call only do exercises you can do on a whim when you think to yourself “hm I should get some exercise”. Examples are:
When you start listening to an album or watching a tv episode, just decide you won’t sit down until it’s done and kind of fidget around until it’s done
Walk around in circles really fast
Punch the air over and over again until your arms get tired
Do old timey strongman exercises using brooms and pulling on your own muscles
Do push ups or reverse push ups against a wall or table or counter or bench that’s nearby
Climb random walls that are near you when you’re out and sit on them (legally and safely obvs)
Learn easy stretches you can just do whenever
Just start jumping on and off of nearby stable objects like large rocks or stone benches
Learn chair and bed exercises for the elderly or disabled you can just do when you’re sitting down for dinner or watching tv in bed
Walk somewhere instead of taking the bus or a car if you have the time and right weather conditions
Dance go crazy go stupid
My resting heart rate and blood pressure have gone down since I started the “just do exercise you can do on a whim” strategy so like I’m telling you stuff that’s worked for me at least. Running around the house in circles like a cat with the zoomies is much more realistic for me than waking up at 6am to do a speed walk every day and maybe it is for you too. Consider all your options.
the cool thing about having friends is you can just write them a letter. and the thing about letters is you might feel like you have to craft a whole heartfelt thing and get intimidated by it, but actually it doesnt even have to say much of anything. you can just write "hello sweaty." because the thing about friends is theyll receive your letter & be like "yippeeeee a letter." & it will make you feel elderly in a cool way
I’ve read that Agatha said she loved being married to an archaeologist because the older she got, the more interesting he found her. And I think that is one of the best quotes about love that I have ever heard.
Thank god they decided to make more
Wow

paintings of ulysses and the sirens rated by how securely he is tied to the mast
Ulysses and the Sirens by John William Waterhouse
looks reasonably secure, he’s probably not going anywhere. waterhouse always comes through. 10/10
Ulysses and the Sirens by Herbert James Draper
you’ve allowed too much freedom of movement for his sexy arms!!! he’s aboutta BUST through the ropes and join the choir invisible!!! but i do love the crewmate to the left with the king-wrangling job. i bet that’s eurylochus. 6/10
Odysseus and the Sirens by Alexander Bruckmann
they’re pretending to ask for advice on building wooden horses, and when he jumps overboard to mansplain, that little wristlet is not gonna stop him. 0/10
Ulysses and Sirens by Pablo Picasso
this ulysses is forever trapped in flatland. he will not jump overboard. he knows there is no true escape with the sirens, not really. 7/10
Ulysses and the Sirens by Léon Belly
in 3 minutes this mans is going to be dragging behind the boat like a jet ski. 1/10, there must have been a thought process at least
Odysseus and the sirens (stamnos, Greek artifact in the British museum)
rope to naked flesh ratio is so funny here but you can’t listen to the forbidden song of the sirens if you ain’t cute <3 9/10
The Sirens and Ulysses by William Etty
i’m sorry, i hate this. what?
fish women want him for his thick ass. only ropes around here are the ones he pulls in the gym. 0/10
Ulysses and the Sirens by Marie-François Firmin-Girard
finally…. a socially distanced ulysses. you did it boys. can’t sink this bad boy. 100/10
OP you’re gonna love this one
